Reunert is an industrial group with a portfolio of businesses in its Electrical Engineering, ICT and Applied Electronics segments. It was founded in 1888 and listed on the JSE in 1948. It is included in the JSE industrial goods and services (electronic and electrical equipment) sector and is a constituent of the FTSE/JSE Responsible Investment Index. The Electrical Enginering Segement manufactures and sells a comprehensive range of power cables and low-voltage circuit breakers. The ICT Segment offers a range of office automation, business communication, digital integration offerings and rental-based finance products, solutions and services. The Applied Electronics Segment develops, supplies and maintains high-precision electronic products for defence and mining, commercial applications and renewable energy solutions.

Location: Durban or Johannesburg Experience Level: 15-20 years in Sales and Business Development (Energy Sector) We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Sales Manager with a proven track record in the energy sector, preferably within renewables, to lead our sales team and drive customer acquisition. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing sales teams, negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), and developing strong relationships within the mining and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities: • Customer Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to attract and secure new customers in the energy and renewables sector, focusing on mining and industrial markets • Deal Process Management • Sales Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive sales plans and tactics • Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Negotiations: Lead negotiations of PPAs with key stakeholders, demonstrating a deep understanding of commercial and legal aspects. • Client Relationship Management: Leverage an extensive network within the mining and industrial sectors. • Performance Tracking & Reporting • Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to adapt strategies and remain competitive. Experience: • 15-20 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years managing a team of sales professionals. • At least 5 years experience in the energy sector, with a strong preference for • candidates with renewables sector experience. • Proven experience in negotiating and closing Power Purchase Agreements (PPA). • A strong track record of success in business development, deal closing, and team management. • Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the energy industry, particularly within renewables, and a well-established network within the mining and industrial sectors. • Sales Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a sales team, with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed targets. • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a history of successful deal closure. • Customer Book: A large existing book of customers in the mining and industrial sectors. • Work Style: Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and results-driven. • Location Flexibility: Must be willing to work from either Durban or Johannesburg and travel as required. Qualifications: A degree in Business, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or training in sales, business development, or energy markets will be advantageous.
