Pinotage was a main theme for my Friday! Started with coffee at Beyerskloof Wines with Beyers Truter discussing the exciting 100 year celebrations planned by pinotage association for 2025🍇🍷🇿🇦. Then attended the PYDA Pinotage Youth Development Agency graduation for the class of 2024 - another 45 talented young winepractitioners ready to join the sector! This initiative started 12 years ago to develop and equip young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with lifeskills and a careerpath. Today there are more than 620 graduates working all over the sector from vineyard to marketing!! These initiatives have a common theme…..both have their roots in South- Africa’s wine sector!! What an incredible day, celebrating a successful Knowledge Donation Day, hosted by SAWIPB and the Logistics & Distribution Council!
