🌱 Eco Day Update! 🌱 On 13 June 2024, GreenYellow South Africa held our annual Eco Day, under the theme of tree planting to create greener, healthier spaces for underprivileged communities. A total of 80 trees were sponsored and planted by GreenYellow teams alongside local beneficiaries, contributing to long-term environmental and social impact. 📍 Tswelopele Secondary School, Tembisa (Gauteng) 30 trees planted by students & the GreenYellow Johannesburg team – 15 fruit trees & 15 shade trees 📍 Ikhayalethemba NPO, Hout Bay (Western Cape) 25 shade trees planted by the GreenYellow Cape Town team 📍 Ubuntu for All, Western Cape Received 5 fruit trees to support their food security initiatives and create a more sustainable food source for the local community. 📍 Little Lambs ECD Centre, Western Cape Received 20 shade trees to enhance outdoor play areas, providing a cooler and more comfortable environment for young children to learn and play. 🌍 Total estimated CO₂e offset over 40 years: 29.52 tonnes! Through this initiative, these trees will continue to provide much-needed shade, fresh produce, and a greener environment for years to come.
