🌟 Remembering Lives, Spreading Hope - Candlelight Memorial 🌟 Tonight, JF Kapnek Zimbabwe joined the Candlelight Memorial Service at Vhengere Stadium in Rusape, honouring those we've lost to AIDS. On the eve of World AIDS Day, we came together with esteemed guests from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, PEPFAR, UNAIDS, National AIDS Council, Zimbabwe AIDS Network, Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development -OPHID and many other dedicated stakeholders. This poignant event served as a reminder of the lives impacted by this epidemic and the importance of our collective efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Together, we can bring awareness, support, and hope to our communities. Let us continue to stand in solidarity, honour those we've lost, and work tirelessly towards a future free from stigma and discrimination. 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence From November 25 to December 10, we join the global campaign to raise awareness about the pervasive nature of violence against women and girls. This year’s theme, “UNITE TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS”, resonates deeply with us at JF Kapnek Zimbabwe. We stand in solidarity with all affected by gender-based violence, recognizing the heightened risks faced by women living with HIV and girls with disabilities. The stigma surrounding HIV often leaves individuals vulnerable to violence, while girls with disabilities face additional barriers that increase their risk of abuse. Everyone deserves to live without fear, violence, or discrimination. Through our Community Based Rehabilitation Program, supported by the Liliane Foundation, we empower children with disabilities. Additionally, our Target Accelerate Sustain Quality Care Program (TASQC), in partnership with OPHID and ZNNP+, focuses on HIV epidemic control in Masvingo Province, backed by PEPFAR through USAID. All our efforts are supported by the Zimbabwean government ministries. Let’s come together to speak out against injustice and build a safe, inclusive future for all. Together, we can end gender-based violence! Yesterday at our Harare offices, we hosted an engaging wellness talk focused on breast cancer awareness, part of our ongoing health initiatives at JF Kapnek Zimbabwe. Breast cancer can impact anyone, but women over 35 are particularly at risk. Our guest speaker from First Mutual Health stressed the importance of regular self-examinations and mammograms. Staff also had the opportunity to get their blood pressure, sugar levels, and weight checked. We emphasized the vital connection between mental health support and stress management in breast cancer treatment, underscoring the need for holistic wellness. At JF Kapnek Zimbabwe, we know that awareness is key to early detection and prevention. This Breast Awareness Month, let's empower each other with knowledge and support. Remember, prioritizing your physical and mental health is crucial for a fulfilling life! #WellnessDay #Breastcancerawarenessmonth2024 #stressmanagement
