A ‘danger to life’ flood warning has been issued and more than 200 flood warnings are in place after heavy rain drenched parts of the UK.
The ‘danger to life’ warning is in place on the River Soar at the caravan parks near Barrow upon Soar in Leicestershire.
Across England there are 201 flood warnings in place, as well as 300 flood alerts.
Weather warnings are still in place after areas were left covered in snow after the coldest night of winter so far, with temperatures dropping as low as -13.3°C on Sunday night, the Met Office said.
As temperatures increased across many areas, people are now contending with another threat – flooding. In some places, this has been made worse by snow melting.
The Environment Agency said: ‘Continued heavy rain today is causing river levels to rise in some areas.

The flooding has been so bad, 17 people had to be rescued, prompting Leicestershire Police to declare a major incident.
Rail services were cancelled between Derby and London St Pancras, and between Sheffield and St Pancras, due to flooded tracks.
