Eating more healthily can feel like a real mental barrier, as you're often striving for complete perfection with your diet. But one woman has shared that it doesn't have to be that way – and you can lose weight while keeping it simple.
Thanks to the rise in wellness, fitness, and health influencers, our social media feeds are often inundated with the perfect green smoothies to help you 'lose 5 lbs in two weeks,' fancy meal prep ideas, and fitness routines that would be gruelling for even the most seasoned fitness fans.
In a TikTok video, a super-slimmer called Michelle Corrigan shared that she was two stone down. She avoids the fancy fads and gets back to basics – and even still allows herself a chocolatey treat!

"Please don't follow me if you're looking for fancy recipes and nutritious meal ideas because nine times out of 10, you're not getting that here," she admitted, sharing that she was taking a simpler approach to her weight loss journey. She added: "I'm just a girl on a mission to lose weight and still eat foods that are convenient and that I enjoy."
Michelle then shared her "realistic what I eat in a day" to give others inspiration and to help anyone who may be starting off their weight loss journey to help them feel supported and as though they don't have to eat perfectly to lose weight.
She said she "started the day with a cup of tea," and for her lunch, she had a "pre-packed Ceasar salad" from the 'Trimmed' range, which came in at less than 400 calories. "It was calorie-counted; it was delicious. It was really big; I only ate half of it," Michelle shared.
"For an afternoon snack, I had a bag of Meanies for 85 calories," she shared, and then when she had her evening meal, her partner wasn't home, so she "put on a chicken burger and had that with some cheese, coleslaw, and tomatoes".
She said that she needed a "chocolate fix," so she "went for a Galaxy and had that with a cup of tea" and watched some of her favourite shows in bed.
In the comments, someone wrote: "I love your recipes and always take them on board," as they found her content relatable. Another added: "Running to the shop to buy meanies – unreal."
One woman even tried to guess the age of the TikToker based on what she'd eaten in a day. She wrote: "Let me guess. You are 20+ years old without kids?"
Michelle responded with a slew of laughter emojis, penning: "Far from it. 39 with two kids".
