A boy was taken to hospital with a leg injury after he was hit by car in Merstham.
Albury Road has been labelled a "nightmare" by one resident after emergency services were called to the scene at around 8.30am on Thursday morning (June 6).
South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) attended the scene and treated the boy.
A spokesman said: "We were called to reports a boy had been hit by a car in Albury Road, Merstham.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene following reports the boy had suffered a leg injury. The boy was treated before being taken to East Surrey Hospital."
Manor Road was partially blocked in both directions as Surrey Police directed traffic.
'It is tricky to find safe places to cross'
An Albury Road resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "Albury Road is a nightmare at the moment with all the water work sections blocked off which seem to be taking forever to be refilled and the traffic lights, plus the building work, and yet cars still drive quickly up and down.
"It is tricky to find safe places to cross."
All parties involved in the incident were "okay" according to a statement issued by Surrey Police on the Reigate and Banstead Beat Facebook page.
The road was reopened later in the morning and traffic returned to normal.
