The Good Beer Guide for 2022 has recently been released and features 70 Surrey pubs among its 4,500 listings.
Published by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), the Good Beer Guide is considered to be the definitive guide on where to find the best pints in the most perfect pubs.
We've put together a list of all of the Surrey pubs listed in the Good Beer Guide for 2022, with a bit about what makes each of them so special.

Abinger Hatch, Abinger Common

Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills, this charming 18 th century pub offers a side order of cosy ambience to go with your pint.
With exposed wooden beaming, a sensational food menu and an extensive and regularly updated range of beers to enjoy, it's no wonder that this quintessential Surrey pub makes the cut.
Bat & Ball, Boundstone

Dating back 150 years, this country pub prides itself on championing local beer, wine and spirit producers.
Alongside quality local drinks sourced from places such as Hogs Back Brewery and Silent Pool Distillery, the Bat & Ball also offers a delicious menu made up of locally sourced food.
This local gem in Boundstone, just south of Farnham, is also known for its weekly pub quizzes, annual beer festival, and monthly live music.
Jolly Farmer, Bramley

This quaint pub based in Bramley has been run by the same family since 1971, and is one of the few remaining family owned and run independent freehouses in South East England.
Its décor offers a step back in time, with its ceiling covered with a kaleidoscope of vintage beer mats.
Beyond its entrancing atmosphere, the Jolly Farmer has a constantly changing selection of real ales sourced from breweries across the UK.
Haycutter, Broadham Green

Allegedly the only pub in the country to be called The Haycutter, its unique name is not its only distinctive feature.
Dating back to 1851, this pub has retained some of its old character while having a light and modern feel inside. It benefits from its beautiful surroundings, which can be seen from their garden room.
Serving beer from local breweries alongside their menu which is updated daily, this pub is a favourite among locals.
Claude du Vall, Camberley

As part of the Wetherspoon chain, the Claude du Vall in Camberley offers the same consistent service with an exhaustive drinks list and meals from breakfast to dinner.
The pub benefits from its central location in town, placed just a short walk from the train station. Its well-stocked bar and instantly recognisable interiors offer a reliable local for residents and those just passing through.
King & Queen, Caterham

Known locally for its rustic charm, the King & Queen offers warm leather seats and exposed brick to enjoy a pint by an open fire.
As part of the Fuller's pub chain, they stock a wide variety of drinks including an array of real ales.
Coach & Horses, Chertsey

Another pub from the Fuller’s chain, the Coach & Horses has a striking red tile exterior with traditional wood-panelled accents inside.

Crossways Inn, Churt

This award-winning pub has been running as a central part of the community since 1994, serving a range of locally sourced ales.
Nestled in the small village of Churt, Crossways Inn is well known for its annual summer Beerfest where they serve 40 real ales from all over England.
Three Horseshoes, Cranleigh

This traditional village pub situated in Cranleigh embraces its old-fashioned style to evoke a sense of classic English charm.

Bluebell, Dockenfield

This 17 th century country pub sits amid the stunning scenery of Alice Holt Forest, offering a peaceful moment for those who stop by.
Its large garden is perfect for a refreshing pint during the summer, while its open fire invites you in during the colder months.
The food is freshly made from locally sourced seasonal ingredients, and paired with a carefully curated wine menu. They also have a selection of changing beers sourced directly from breweries within 15 miles.
Cobbett's, Dorking

Cobbett’s offers a comprehensive range of ales in its beer shop offering the largest choice of beer in the county, but it also serves as a micropub.
Open from noon, the micropub has a small outdoor area with heating where you can sit back and enjoy a pint of one of their cask ales.
Cricketers, Dorking
Address: 81 South Street, RH4 2JU
The Cricketers is a much-loved pub in Dorking, with a community feel and a host of unique events from their beer festivals to an onion growing competition.
The highlight of this pub is its impressive two-tier pub garden, ideal for meeting in for a summer pint. As a Fuller’s pub, they serve guest beers from their brewery alongside others such as Dark Star and London Pride.

Home to the Egham Beer Festival, the Egham United Services Club has received consistent praise from CAMRA over the years.

Located just a short walk from Royal Holloway University, this pub serves as a solid local for students and residents in the community.
Serving the community for over 100 years, The Happy Man serves real ale and champions local breweries.
Assembly Rooms, Epsom

This large Wetherspoon is conveniently based centrally in Epsom, making it a favourite among locals.
The interior has a light airy feel, with red brick accents and the occasional palm plant adding a nice touch.

Jolly Coopers, Epsom

Serving as one of Epsom’s oldest pubs, the Jolly Coopers is a family owned freehouse with a particularly nice patioed and sheltered beer garden.
