Noel is best known for surreal comedy series The Mighty Boosh, which he created with co-star Julian Barratt.
In 2017 he took over as host of The Great British Bake Off alongside Sandi Toksvig when the show moved from the BBC to Channel 4. She was replaced by Matt Lucas in 2020.
His first child, Dali, was born in April 2018, and his second daughter Iggy was born in October 2020.
