Have you ever heard a speaker who changed *the way you think*?! Svenja Maltzahn did that to me. I saw her lead LinkedIn workshop on a global stage. She's sure got the street cred: ✅ Invite-only 'Top Voice' badge ✅ Founder of sumea social ✅ 16,000+ followers Now, I've got to be honest: I've been using LinkedIn for a loooong time. I wasn't very intentional about it. I used it to find stories, experts and tips. Until I started a new company. I knew I needed to get better. Her tips, insights, analysis and visualizations helped change the way I view this platform. ↳ Changed how I write ↳ How I post ↳ *How I think* And she's coming to DC ‼️ Thrilled to announce Svenja will be a featured speaker at 'Media Mastery Experts LIVE!' in April. MME LIVE! is our media training, public speaking and leadership communications bootcamp. She'll be doing workshops on: 🚀 Strategies to propel your thought leadership on LinkedIn ⭐️ How to optimize your profile to showcase your expertise 🏆 And a session only for VIPs: How to get that coveted 'Top Voice' badge So grateful you'll be here, Svenja! What a rock star ! I’ll be doing some giveaways in the near future, so stay tuned💰 Who’s your favorite speaker to learn from? ––––––– BONUS: Just 5 VIP slots left to hear Svenja's Top Voice session

  • Brand Identity vs. Visual Identity: What is What? Let’s Clear This Up! 🔑 Brand Identity is the soul of a brand—it’s what makes it memorable and relatable. It includes: 1. Brand Story 2. Brand Name 3. Verbal Identity 4. Brand Personality 5. Services or Products 6. Visual Identity (yes, it’s just one part!) 🎨 Visual Identity is the look of a brand—it’s how the brand shows up in the world. It includes: 1. Typography 2. Logo Design 3. Color Palette 4. Imagery Style 5. Layout and Composition 6. Brand Graphics and Icons 7. Packaging, Print, and Digital Presence Visual identity catches attention, but brand identity builds trust and loyalty. What part of your identity—brand or visual—needs a refresh? Get in touch and we're happy to help. 💙

Too many learnings from Chris Do’s Workshop to share here. So instead of going into the content or key take aways, I want to take a moment to appreciate the *delivery* of the session. Because it really was a masterclass in how to teach maximum value through interaction. There were: - Flashcards - Group tables - A workbook to take home - Role plays and partner work - Involving everyone, not just the extroverts Many workshops inspire, but few teach you how to actually implement. This one did—thank you, Chris 💙 #1BillionSummit #ContentForGood

“She's hostile towards negative feedback.” 👀 That’s what my manager said about me during my first job in London. I was 23. When I heard about the comment, I was surprised. I genuinely cared about my job. But, was I really "hostile"? A few years later, I sometimes still think about it. And it helped me to realize: Yes, I hold strong opinions. Yes, I disagree when I think I’m right. And no, I don’t accept feedback blindly. But here’s the other side: I profoundly care about my work and think it's necessary to form opinions. I’m always open to changing my mind—if the argument convinces me. As a woman, this attitude can come across differently. Having strong views, even when communicated constructively, doesn’t always land the same way for us. But looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. I know this about myself: I challenge ideas, not people. And I’d rather be proven wrong than sit quietly. 💜 P.S. What feedback has surprised or shaped you?

Don’t be *that* person on LinkedIn. (What most people don’t know about networking) LinkedIn is the biggest opportunity for professional networking. Whether you are in B2B sales, or looking to connect with like-minded professionals, LinkedIn is the place to be. Yet, many people forget that networking on LinkedIn isn’t any different from networking in real life. The same rules apply. Let's see how common LinkedIn mistakes would play out at a party: 1️⃣ The cold sales pitch ↳ Would you hand your sales catalog to someone at a party without even starting a conversation? Probably not. So why do it here? 2️⃣ Overtagging ↳ Tagging 20 people in your post just to grab attention is like shouting across the room for no reason. It’s awkward and unnecessary. 3️⃣ Ghosting connections ↳ When you exchange business cards at an event, you don’t toss them in the trash. The same applies online—follow up, engage, and nurture those connections. Networking on LinkedIn is no different from real life. Be smart about it, and your connections will flourish. 💜 PS.: What’s the biggest networking mistake you’ve seen on LinkedIn? Let’s compare notes 👇

  • Here’s a sentence that won’t get you far in 2025: ↳ “I want to work more strategic.” Here’s the truth: 5% is strategy. 95% is execution. We see it all the time: teams spend months crafting a strategy—endless revisions, endless inputs, and unnecessary complexity. Then one fine day, when the strategy is signed off, celebrated… and promptly forgotten. Without action, strategy delivers: ❌ No leads ❌ No sales ❌ No results ❌ No awareness At sumea social, we don’t just strategize.  We….. ✔️ Create content. Consistently. ✔️ Get you covered in the news. ✔️ Engage with your audience. ✔️ Plan ahead for your brand. ✔️ Keep you accountable. ✔️ Find your next event. ✔️ Coach & mentor. It’s the action that drives growth—not endless planning or perfect slides. So, it’s the first Monday of January. Ready to take action? 💪🏼

“Provide value,” they said.  “Teach your audience,” they emphasized. For the longest time, I believed that sharing facts—educational content—was the gold standard. And yes, educational content is important. But let's also not forget:  ↳ Feelings move people. For example, the first time I went viral on LinkedIn, was a personal post about my university studies and how my friend told me "my parents wouldn't allow me to study Arabic". Why did it go viral? Because it was the right amount of emotional storytelling. Here’s what Chris Do taught me about content categories:  1️⃣ Facts: Teach, inform, and share value. 2️⃣ Fun: Add personality, humor, or a unique twist to your message. 3️⃣ Feelings: The most powerful of all. Content that evokes emotions. Sharing industry knowledge is one thing, but learning to bring storytelling into your posts, will bring you to a whole new level. PS: When was the first time you went viral on LinkedIn? And which category did your post fall under? Let's compare notes👇

Worst sentence in 2024: “Just be authentic.” A lot of personal branding experts preach authenticity—but let’s be honest… How many truly live it? Yes, personal branding is about finding ways to connect genuinely. It is about recent reflections, lessons, and the moments that reveal the real you, beyond just the surface or expert level. It's about… ✅reflecting openly  ✅stating your actual opinion ✅letting others see the effort behind the results. P.S. Have you noticed that the posts with the highest engagement are often the ones we least expect—the ones shared almost spontaneously, on the go?

Where do letters live? In 2018, I stood in front of this mirror at aramco’s Ithra museum. At first glance → a beautiful piece of art. A closer look → it’s a map. A map of the mouth. And a lesson in just how precise Arabic sounds really are. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 (ح, خ, ع, غ) → Arabic makes you use parts of your throat you didn’t even know existed. It’s like learning to speak and gargle at the same time. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗴𝘆𝗺 (ر, ل, ن) → Rolling these letters feels like a workout. A lot of movement for just one sound. 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 (ب, م, ف) → Even the gentlest sounds demand precision. You can’t half-say a ب without everyone noticing. Arabic doesn’t just change how you speak. It changes how you think about sound. Happy #ArabicLanguageDay to all the learners out there! You’re proof that persistence pays off. 💜 P.S. For me, it’s still the two Hs (ح and هـ). What about you? #اليوم_العالمي_للغة_العربية
