Day 1 Highlights from #MEIRA Annual Conference: The biggest-ever MEIRA Conference kicked off with dynamic panel sessions, engaging workshops, and fantastic networking opportunities! It was great to meet old friends, longstanding clients, and new faces. A special highlight was seeing our very own Pablo Alday Sanz and Alaa Badawi present a very insightful workshop on Navigating Regulatory Compliance and Emerging Considerations, adding valuable insights to the day’s discussions. A key highlight was the introduction of corporate access for investors, alongside a powerful fireside chat with BlackRock’s Director of Investment Stewardship Manuel Isaza, offering invaluable insights into best practices for IR engagement with institutional investors. On day 1 of the #MEIRA Conference, our very own colleagues, Pablo Alday Sanz and Alaa Badawi, delivered an engaging session in the workshop "Navigating Regulatory Compliance and Emerging Considerations,"   The workshop was met with great enthusiasm, offering valuable insights and sparking meaningful discussions.   ✨ Key takeaways from today’s dynamic session included:   Global Shift Towards Mandatory ESG Reporting: ESG regulations are evolving from voluntary to mandatory at a global level, with countries and regions implementing stricter requirements to ensure transparency and accountability. Regional Focus on GCC ESG Development: In the GCC region, authorities and stock exchanges are increasingly adopting sustainability related guidelines, with ESG reporting being mandatory for listed companies across 4 out of 7 stock exchanges. Companies in the GCC must stay abreast of these regulatory changes and align their reporting practices with regional and international standards. Aligning Business Practices with ESG Goals: To elevate their ESG performance, companies should embed sustainability into their corporate culture, develop clear ESG strategies, and establish measurable goals.
