Switzerland never disappoints 🇨🇭 Be it chocolate, public transport punctuality or crypto-related events. Confirmed yet again by #NeroxTeam (Ksenia Koller and Dominik Stiftinger-Lang) at the Crypto Valley Conference in Rotkreuz last week. What can we say: a handful of truly interesting panels (that sadly becomes more and more rare) Julie Bourgeois, Ana Santillan Nieto, Payal Shah, Dieter M. Sommer, Mihai Grigore, PhD, Denitza Vatchkova, Francesco Adiliberti, Patrick Bärtschi, Tim Rice and so many more + great networking due to the way the venue was structured. Shoutout to Crypto Valley Association for bringing the scene together. What did the space talk about: DeFi, USDT, Merge of AI and Blockchain and Memecoins (of course 🙈). But also fragmentation of Liquidity, Interoperability and usability, Restaking and the importance of good UX. Another month, another London trip for #NeroxTeam (Ksenia Koller and Christian Unger). This time for the Crypto and Digital Asset Summit by the Financial Times. Very strong regulatory focus and rightfully so. Our UK colleagues are doing an extremely good job in legitimizing crypto space. In fact, ‘Stop cryminalising crypto’ was a red thread of the conference to some extent. Let’s not forget: more than 90% of all financial crimes are associated with TradFi and cash, yet crypto is still being painted as this big furry monster by most of the media outlets. Some very polarized opinions and some very united ones (like ETFs being overhyped). Some brilliant panels & talks that took place. Thank you Carol Alexander for the fireside chat on malpractices on exchanges (a.k.a. what we can do to avoid the next #FTX). David Mercer on the future of digital asset market structure. Lively debate about the factors driving crypto prices, thank you Ijeoma E., Aleks Larsen, Michael Howell and Christopher Obereder. Let us tell you, so much has happened for #NeroxTeam in the past weeks. London, pitching at Startup World Cup and Web3FC · April 17-19 2024 in Barcelona. There, Alexander Aigner and Christian Unger not only tried to navigate among countless admirers of the Sagrada Familia but also within Spanish blockchain space. Here're the main takeaways from panels, talks and conversations with the attendees of this lovely Barcelona-based crypto family event: ➀ Blockchain is increasingly making its way to the broader public. Let's admit it, everyone dislikes generic ChatGPT-generated conference recap posts. So here's 5 unfiltered, #NeroxTeam insights from panels and talks at the Digital Assets Forum in London. ➀ Banks are dabbling into Crypto mainly to test the infrastructure and the processes in preparation to Tokenization of 'their' assets. ➁ Custody and other Infrastructure Providers have to adopt Governance/compliance structures already within the software to be attractive to these customers. ➂ Funds need innovative Order Management Systems and Portfolio Management Systems, that fit their needs, there is currently no all-in Solution like Bloomberg for Crypto. In the future there'll be no need for a back office. ➃ Community before product building is the new way for Web3. Educate, educate, educate about digital assets. Most renowned TradFi asset managers are also just people first and foremost. Fear and rejection is only a natural reaction to the unknown. ➄ Some of professionals would love to trade on DEXes but it's too early for Traditional Institutions due to regulatory restrictions/lack of regulations.
