TU Graz Racing Team is one of the world’s leading Formula Student teams. Since the foundation in 2002, it has won numerous awards and has raised generations of engineers. Everything started with two students having an idea to create a Formula Student team supported by Graz University of Technology. Years later, the cars are still built annually in order to compete in FSAE competitions all over the world. The team gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge and wide experience as well as explore all the phases of the car development process. The end of season 2019 marked a significant change: being always eager for a challenge, TU Graz Racing Team has focused on the development of electric-powered vehicles only. Purposefulness, engineering talents and passion for motorsport are key elements of the team’s DNA. EV ENDURANCE AT Formula Student Alpe Adria This year we assisted to one of the most dramatic Endurance Battles of EV Hystory. We always appreciated the spirit and the commitment of TU Graz Racing Team and after 3 unfurtunate years, the fate gave everything back. The first stint of Nico Schober was phenomenal, the driver was able to drive 8 laps below the 50s mark, building a solid 60s lead. The task to Markus Pleschberger was to lovely nurse Valerie home, but the legendary driver did much more that that, being the fastest 2nd driver on the track. In the first laps of the race, we assisted to a great Stutt-Graz battle like in the old days, but unfortunately already on lap 12 technical issues (re-)appeared on Rennteam Uni Stuttgart e.V. car. The talent and determination of Tom Spitzenberger brought shortly the hopes of the Swabians back, but at the end he too had to give up to technical issues. The ELBFLORACE Formula Student Team TU Dresden e.V. made a miracle to be at start of the Endurance race. After having set the best time in the first AutoX outing, they suffered a major suspension failure in the second run. Hard work, committment and the support of Bugatti Rimac allowed them to complete the titanic effort to complete the car. Unfortunately due to long preparation procedure they were unable to completely recharge the battery and they run the endurance with conservative settings. The P4 in Endurace, coupled with a P1 in Efficiency allowed them to crown the event with a P2 overall. The 6th place in AutoX 4,6 s behind TUG, does not represent the real value on Rennstall Esslingen. They started the Endurance with agressive settings and the car was back where it belongs, setting similar lap times as Stuttgart and Graz, Unfortunately technical issues stopped the double champions after 4 competitive laps. The task for the next season is clear, the car has the performance, now it must be brought on the track. The biggest surprise of this year is surely Campus Tirol Motorsport. The sympatic Austrian team presented a simple but efficient car. They where able to perform in all dynamic disciplines. Each lap was celebrated with a loud cow bell and at the end the achieved a P2 in Endurance and a convincing P4 overall, just 15 points short of Podium place achieved by munnichMotorsport representing Hochschule München. The bayern had 2 extraordinary constant drivers which extracted the full potential of the car (unfortunately taking too many penalties does so) and the best beer of the camping site. e-ignition Hamburg delivered a solid first stint, fighting for the endurance podium. The second driver could have improved the improved the position but it was first slowed by technical issues and finally disqualified in post-race ispection due to oil leakage. Last words for the home team FSB Racing Team - UNI Zagreb. Unfortunately they were not able to show their full potential in Zagreb as they did conquering the overall victory at Formula Student Poland

We’ve wrapped up our last competition and secured an overall 3rd place finish at Formula Student Italy! Thanks to our team’s efforts, we swiftly passed the technical inspections, giving us the time we needed to prepare for both the dynamic and static events. We were proud to get 2nd place in the EV Engineering Design competition and secure 4th place in the Business Plan event. Our dynamic journey kicked off on Saturday with a 1st place in Acceleration and a win in Skidpad. On the Skidpad event, it was an all-Austrian podium: us in 1st, Joanneum Racing Graz in 2nd, and Campus Tirol Motorsport in 3rd. 🇦🇹 In the afternoon the Autocross event took place, and on Sunday, our drivers braved a challenging Endurance in changing weather conditions! Huge congratulations to FS Team Tallinn for overall P1 and Joanneum Racing Graz for overall P2! 🏆 We’re looking back on an incredibly successful season and can’t wait for post-season testing and the start of developing our next Tankia. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this incredible season—our sponsors, alumni, and all who have contributed to our journey. We are overall EV winners at FS Alpe Adria 2024! We are incredibly proud to announce that we have won the electric cup at FSAA 2024 at the Rimac Test Track. The technical inspections were completed swiftly once again, allowing us valuable time to prepare for the dynamic events while also participating in the static disciplines. We managed to win the EV Engineering Design competition and achieved the third place in the Business Plan Event. Our first dynamic success came on Friday with a third-place finish in Acceleration and a win in Skidpad. On Saturday, we claimed first place in Autocross, marking another significant achievement. On Sunday we faced a challenging Endurance for our drivers. It took place in the evening, where the sun was very low. However, they performed very strong and we achieved another win! We have countless people to thank for their support throughout this incredible year—from our sponsors and alumni to many others who contributed along the way. Our achievements this season would not have been possible without your support. We also want to express our gratitude to the team at FS Alpe Adria for all their hard work and for providing us and the other teams with this amazing platform to compete. And finally special congratulations to Campus Tirol Motorsport for gathering their first trophies. Hopefully there is more to come!
