Today is International Migrants Day, a time to recognise the challenges and opportunities associated with international migration. Women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), migrant and refugee backgrounds are less likely to report experiencing violence. This is due to a number of factors including, language barriers, cultural stigma, financial insecurity and the fear of impacting their visa status by ending a relationship. More information about 1800RESPECT in a range of languages can also be found on our website: https://lnkd.in/gfjq2JG #1800RESPECT #counselling #support #relationships #familyviolence #domesticviolence #sexualviolence #migrantwomen #MigrantsDay #Inclusion
