AIA Australia joins the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI) in welcoming the Government’s efforts to improve access for millions of Australians to good-quality financial advice and reduced red tape for the advice industry. This week’s announcement on the Government’s advice reforms will support Australians with their financial wellbeing now and in retirement, generating a positive social and economic benefit for the country. AIA Australia looks forward to continuing this constructive work during the legislative consultation period.

Research shows 4 in 5 Australians aged 45-54 need financial advice but cannot afford it, while 74 percent of Australians aged 18 to 34 have unmet advice needs. Today, the Albanese Government is announcing the next step in its package to make high quality, safe and affordable financial advice available to more Australians. Without affordable advice, Australians will either get no advice – which leads to lower standards of living – or seek advice from dodgy sources and scammers. We’re making sure Australians can get the financial advice they need, when they need it, without breaking the bank.

  • It's been a great three days at the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) Congress at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. As proud sponsors of Future2 Foundation, we’re delighted to see the support of Future2 at the Congress with many attendees going into the Future2 raffle – and trying their luck at our claw grabber machine – as well as taking part in the Future2 Silent Auction. This year we also sponsored the FAAA Community Breakfast, supporting the FAAA’s Inspire and Gen Next communities while being joined by three-time Olympian javelin thrower, Kelsey-Lee Barber. Kelsey-Lee shared some of the key lessons and skills she has learned to unlock her full potential and perform at her optimum on the world athletics stage. Her stories of triumph, heartbreak and persistence have shown us what is required to achieve your ultimate best.  #AIAAustralia #healthierlongerbetterlives #aiahealth #aiavitality #FAAACongress2024

This is Liana’s story. A freelance illustrator and part-time retail employee who faced cancer at a young age.    Through her employer, Liana received income protection cover and trauma benefits with AIA which helped her manage financial pressures during treatment.    As part of our AIA Embrace program, Liana was able to get access to additional support throughout her recovery. We connected her with a cancer coach and an exercise physiologist who offered her physical and emotional support.    And after months of treatment, when Liana was ready, she worked with an AIA rehab consultant to support her return to work and regain a sense of normalcy.    Liana is now celebrating one year cancer free!    Watch Liana’s inspiring journey below. #AIAAustralia #CancerCoach #Rehab #HealthierLongerBetterLives

One in five Australians aged 15-85 experience a mental illness in any given year and the demand for mental health services in Australia is growing rapidly. To address the urgent need for more timely and affordable mental health support in Australia, we’re launching My Psychologist, a virtual mental health support service, to all our life insurance customers and their immediate family members. The service offers virtual consultations with qualified psychologists, within only seven days, for a reduced out-of-pocket fee of $60 through Medicare, for those with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). For those without a MHCP, the service can assist with referrals by connecting members to a telehealth GP. In line with our focus on prevention and health promotion, we recognise the significant impact that seeking the right treatment at the earliest opportunity can have on an individual’s overall health. To access the service, AIA members can go to https://lnkd.in/gVHDG4kw #AIAAustralia #HealthierLongerBetterLives #MentalHealth

  • We've had an amazing time at the 2024 ASFA | The Voice of Super conference last week with our interactive reaction wall at our booth! It was such a great way to engage attendees and encourage them to be physically active. We're all about helping people live healthier, longer, and better lives. Whether through physical movement, nutrition, mindful habits, or improving overall wellness, we believe that every small action we take brings us closer to a more vibrant life. The reaction wall was a fun, hands-on way for people to test their agility, reflexes, and coordination—while also reminding us all that staying active and engaged is key to wellbeing. It was inspiring to see so many attendees challenge themselves and get excited about the power of movement. We also held four health and wellbeing sessions to get the audience up on their feet, moving, stretching and feeling more relaxed and mindful. #ASFA #ASFAConference #AIAAustralia #HealthierLongerBetterLives
