This week, Real Futures Carnarvon joined the Aboriginal Justice Open Days - a "one stop shop" for all Government services. We were pleased to have 24 Aspirants alongside our driving school clients attend and engage with the agencies there. Real Futures funded 9 birth certificates, 10 driver's licenses, 3 photo IDs and helped 5 people to connect with the Driving Access and Equity Program. Services available across the week were: - Department of Transport - Department of Birth, Death & Marriages - Services Australia (Centrelink) - Driving Access and Equity Program - The Sheriff for fines queries - Regional Alliance West - Electoral Services It was also a good opportunity for our team to network and discuss future plans to improve the delivery of services to wider community. #AboriginalJusticeDay #JusticeOpenDay #RealFutures #RealFuturesCarnarvon

The Career Connect Youth/Open Age Forum, held at JobFind Flemington, was a great success! The team welcomed over 80 participants and hosts like genU Programmed Skill Co, STREAT, The Wellington, Australian Staffing Agency and Apprenticeship Support Australia in attendance. On the day, Jobfind Recruitment Consultants Sayido Tufa and Danielle LeCouteur guided participants on job opportunities and referred them to potential employers. Attendees had the chance to explore training, apprenticeships, and career options while building valuable connections. When asked on the event, Apprenticeship Support Australia Training Consultant Thirun Nadsan stated, “Brilliantly organised event by Jobfind Flemington. She recently achieved a major milestone: 26 weeks of employment in a role she enjoys. Even more remarkably, she has maintained her mental health and avoided hospitalisation for over six months, highlighting her resilience and commitment. Living with a spinal disorder but determined to find employment, Zak connected with the uLaunch Mirrabooka team for support. Zak initially found success as a painter, landing his dream job. However, the physical demands of working for someone else proved too challenging. Recognising the need for a change, Zak worked with uLaunch to explore new possibilities. Now self-employed, Zak continues to pursue his passion for painting while enjoying the flexibility to manage his time and take necessary breaks.
