We’re committed to turning your recyclables into new products! Our efficient materials recovery process ensures that valuable resources are reused and kept out of landfills. Here’s how it works in 6 easy steps: 1. Tips Off – Collection trucks unload mixed recyclables at APR Kerbside MRF. 2. Front-end Load – An excavator loads materials onto a conveyor belt for sorting. 3. Pre-Sorting – Manual sorting removes non-recyclables and contaminants to speed up the process. 4. Ballistic Separator – This machine separates 2D materials from 3D items for better sorting. 5. Manual Sorting – Further manual sorting ensures quality materials are captured before bailing. 6. Processed End-Product – Separated materials are baled and ready for transport to be made into new products. By maintaining a 4-bin system and eliminating glass from the recycling stream, we significantly improve the quality of our end products!

💡 Did you know? 💡 Trigger tops, and pump sprays shouldn’t go in your yellow-lidded recycling bin! To keep recycling effective and prevent contamination, please place these items in your general waste bin. However, be sure to leave the lids on the bottles to ensure that these materials are recycled properly. Learn more about how to recycle your household waste on our website!
