A Masterful Design in Harmony with Nature 🌺☀️ Our client desired a 4,000 sqm, single-story, interconnected residence on a site with a steep slope and varied contours. Our team needed to create a design that addressed both the client's vision and the natural landscape. Our Solution: 🧗 Harnessing the Slope: The dwelling presents as a single story at the front, with an additional lower level towards the back, seamlessly integrating with the existing contours. 🌳 Centralised Courtyard: The floor plan revolves around a central courtyard, fostering visual connections throughout the living spaces. Wraparound Deck: An external deck unifies the internal areas, offering a cohesive flow from room to room. 🏠 Folding Roof Design: This innovative element serves a dual purpose: —> Breaks Up the Linearity: The folding roof creates a dynamic aesthetic, departing from a traditional flat design. —> Functional Flexibility: Varying ceiling heights are achieved based on room function. For instance, the family room enjoys a soaring ceiling with ample natural light, while bedrooms have a lower profile for a more intimate feel. ⭐️ The result? Today, we'd like to share our project design for this custom-designed residence, designed to optimise space, avoid clutter, and ensured a cohesive flow between the different areas of the residence. 💕Clients wish: Our client desired a feature-rich single-storey dwelling but expressed a concern about potential clutter within the open-plan layout. Understanding this, we tailored our design with a key focus on comfort, functionality, and privacy. 🏛️ What we did: We implemented a clever floor plan which prioritises both spaciousness and privacy including: 🎯 Centralised Living: The core of the home revolves around the main living areas, fostering a sense of connection and flow. 🚷 Separate Wings for Privacy: Two separate wings extend outwards from the central living area, housing the private spaces. 🛌 Master Suite: The master suite is strategically located on one end for maximum privacy and peacefulness. 👶 Children's Wing: A dedicated wing caters to the needs of children, providing a designated space for play and relaxation. 🚗 Cohesive Connection: The garage visually integrates with the main house through a walkway screen adorned with vertical battens, creating a unified aesthetic. The residential complex we designed is under construction in North-East Melbourne! This double-storey 10-unit complex comprises of ten, four-bedroom townhouses. Designed with a lower basement level comprising of 10 garage spaces and storage for each dwelling. ☀️This development was designed with a focus on maximising available views and nature light. 👥 In the design we incorporated more space than other developments in the area, allowing for a pedestrian street between the units. This creates a more liveable space, with room for greenery and plants and to go on a stroll through. 🌿 The landscaping softens the hard surfaces, creating a peaceful environment bathed in natural light, while increasing the perceived distance between the residences opposite each other.
