About us

Asahi Beverages is one of the leading beverage companies in Australia and New Zealand, producing an extensive range of alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. Our non-alcohol portfolio extends across soft drinks, mixers, mineral water, water, juice, tea, energy and sports drinks, with iconic and well-loved brands such as Schweppes, Cool Ridge and Pepsi. Our alcohol portfolio includes both local craft and international beers such as Asahi Super Dry and Peroni, as well as cider, ready-to-drink and spirits brands. Asahi Beverages formed in 2014 through the integration of the Schweppes Australia and Asahi Premium Beverages businesses in Australia and Independent Liquor in New Zealand. Our Group also includes The Better Drinks Co, a NZ based juice and organic soft drink business and craft brewer, Mountain Goat. We work in a category with rapidly changing consumer wants and needs, which fuels our entrepreneurial spirit and our thirst for category-growing innovation. Our company has grown enormously over the past decade, and as we continue to evolve, we’re looking for people who thrive on collaborating, connection and building high performing teams and who are agile, adventurous and always willing to jump in and give it their all. It’s an exciting time to join our company. • We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to receive the 2024 NRL Coaches Award for the partner that shows up all season long! As a beverage company, it’s our mission to bring enjoyment and connections to everyday moments, and this year we rolled out two incredible campaigns with the NRL that excited rugby fans, amplifying their experiences throughout the season and supported grassroots rugby league. Solo’s ‘Thanks Dad’ campaign set out to recognise dads for all their thirst worthy efforts, and the fans delivered! There were so many heartfelt tributes to dads, and it was no simple task to select our winners. Victoria Bitter and the NRL also partnered to support grassroots rugby league through the inaugural VB Big Leg Up campaign. The winners, the Cudgen Hornets RLFC, from Kingscliff in northern New South Wales, will receive a $50,000 sponsorship from VB. Their clubhouse and changerooms were destroyed by fire in 2020, and the club has struggled to return to its feet ever since. Their journey is an embodiment of VB’s values of hard work and resilience. We are incredibly proud to partner with the NRL and play our part in the game, helping to deliver unforgettable moments to the rugby league fans across the country.

  • Today marks the International Day of People with Disability, celebrating the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities worldwide.   We recently had the pleasure of hosting a Lunch & Learn session with the ABC’s amazing National Disability Affairs Reporter Nas Campanella. Nas’s inspirational life story offered some incredible insights into living with a disability, and some of the challenges and opportunities she has faced in breaking down barriers in the workplace.   At Asahi Beverages, our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy is anchored in fostering a workplace culture where everyone feels they belong. It isn’t a single action, but an ongoing journey. Nas has left us with some useful tips on building inclusive workplaces at Asahi.   #Inclusion #Diversity #Belonging #AsahiBeverages #Accessibility #Disability

  • Last night’s Australian Packaging Covenant Awards saw Circular Plastics Australia (PET) win big by snaring the Improved Recycling Systems Award. CPA is a joint venture between Asahi Beverages and other key industry stakeholders Pact Group, Cleanaway Waste Management and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP). CPA won the award for building the country’s two largest PET recycling plants in Albury, NSW and Altona in Melbourne’s western suburbs. These plants have significantly boosted onshore rPET supply and are helping create a circular economy for PET in Australia. CPA has been successful in tackling several major environmental challenges through its PET recycling facilities. These include diverting waste from landfill, reducing energy use associated with rPET imports and reducing reliance on raw materials for virgin PET creation. Asahi Beverages looks forward to continuing to invest in sustainable solutions. In the photo: Asahi Beverages Group Environment Manager Lok-Man Shu with APCO Board Director Fiona Lawrie

  • Earlier this year, Asahi Beverages’ Circular Plastics Australia (CPA) PET Team received Asahi’s highest internal accolade, the Global Asahi AGP Awards Grand Prix Award. This was for their work partnering with Pact Group Holdings Ltd, Cleanaway Waste Management, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Government to establish Australia’s largest two PET recycling plants in Albury (NSW) and Altona (Vic) that aim to create a circular economy for PET bottles in Australia. As part of the award, the Asahi team were given about $10,000 to donate to their charity of choice. They chose Albury-Wodonga not-for-profit Junction Support Services to help support their social enterprise café (https://lnkd.in/gdfTsg8k) that trains and employs vulnerable youth. With a major Asahi water bottling facility in Albury along with one of the CPA recycling plants, this donation highlights Asahi Beverages’ commitment to supporting the communities that support our operations.
