🎉We’re thrilled to have supported the Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN's New Energy Technology program again in 2024. Our AusNet mentors worked with Matthew, Archer and Vincent from WARRAGUL REGIONAL COLLEGE to design and develop this #robot prototype that would reduce the #environmental impacts in surveying in the planning phase of major infrastructure projects. The students’ all terrain robot prototype features a deployable camera to remotely survey environments for #flora and #fauna species, as well as seed dispensers to support #revegetation🌱 Well done to this talented group of students. With skills like these, the #energy future looks bright!

It's been just over a week since the 2024 Corporate Games, and we're still stretching our hammies! Now in its 3rd decade, AusNet was represented this year by a record team of 125 employees, participating in 13 different sports: #badminton, #basketball, #beachvolleyball, #cricket, #golf, indoor #karting, #netball, #pickleball, #running, #soccer, #tennis and #tabletennis. From our first prize winning #pickleball team, comprised of a dynamic duo calling themselves “The Prince and The Pickle”, to our extraordinary #running representative Laura Murphy (winning first place), everyone did us proud! Even our Executive leadership team had a crack, playing an amazing game of basketball. 🏀 The icing on the cake was AusNet winning a Group Champion Award, for our contribution and participation in the Corporate Games as a whole. 🏆 We're a competitive bunch at AusNet. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the experience. Did someone say Corporate Games 2025? 💪

Climate change is causing more extreme weather events more often. AusNet is working hard to make our #network more #resilient so that we can get families and businesses energised more quickly following an outage. Yesterday, Andrew Linnie and Charlotte Eddy updated the Victorian Parliamentary Committee Inquiry into Climate Resilience, on our efforts. #climatechange #energy #community #resilence

Interested in reducing #electricity costs for your large business? You can, by participating in our #GoodGrid Critical Peak Demand (CPD) program! #GoodGrid encourages participating businesses on CPD tariffs to reduce their electricity use. Typically, on the hottest days of summer, or days where demand on the network is high. In return, businesses get rewarded with a reduction in their #energy #costs for the next 12 months. To find out if your business is eligible, how the program works, and to sign up for SMS alerts ahead of when we declare a Critical Peak Demand day, visit: https://lnkd.in/d32nCaxH #GoodGrid #DoGood #Electricity #EnergyTariffs #DemandManagement

We're proud to support Foodbank Victoria and the incredible work they do! Through our Energy Resilience Community Fund we’re helping with emergency food relief, now and in the future. Being able to make this happen in a sustainable way through the electric vehicle and charging infrastructure is the cherry on top. #community #energy #resilience #sustainability #EV #charger #vanlife
We are heading toward a more food secure Gippsland. With the help of AusNet as of today, we are on a more financially and environmentally stable path. Through their Energy Resilience Community Fund we have just received our very first electric food van which will enable us to make our impact greater across Gippsland. AusNet has also contributed toward an emergency food relief fund specifically for future climate disasters. Many thanks also goes to Mondo for providing a whizz bang charging solution for the operation of our new electric van!
