🎖Earlier this year, we launched our first internal Veteran Mentoring Program to support veterans transitioning into or advancing their civilian careers. In partnership with Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA), participants completed MESHA’s flagship courses, Story Right and Mind Right, alongside tailored training in military culture and identity adaptation—equipping them for success in the corporate world. Congratulations to our inaugural participants, and thank you for your dedication and commitment to this program! 🙌

Congratulations Brian 🏆🏆, recently recognised for his unwavering drive in creating opportunities for young people through WA’s Defence Industry Pathways Program (DIPP). Brian took out the Minister’s Award for Services to Defence Industry at the recent West Australian Defence Gala Dinner, hosted by the Henderson Alliance and the Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN) - Western Australia. Brian said: “The team here at BAE Systems and company partners have helped to prepare over 200 new workers for the Defence Industry. We have a passion to advance the next generation, and look forward to introducing more diverse and talented young workers into the Henderson precinct in the coming years. "Seeing the DIPP program begin in South Australia is a also terrific outcome, after the success we've had with it in WA. “I would absolutely recommend the Defence Industry Pathway Program. It’s a 12 month traineeship, providing trainees with exposure to several fields prior to deciding on a their maritime defence pathway for the future. “From technical engineering and cybersecurity through to logistics and procurement, trainees earn as they train on-the-job, getting first-hand experience with global leaders along with their study and obtaining well-recognised accreditation with a Certificate III in DIPP. We are all proud to work with the Australian Government and South Metropolitan TAFE in delivering this innovative program. Photo - Brian, second from left.

🏁🏎️ Full throttle inspiration for Gen Z at the VAILO Adelaide 500! Our ace solution architect, Stephanie, went trackside with the Motorsport Australia Girls on Track participants diving into the fast lane of STEM and motorsport careers. But it wasn't just about the cars — the panellists shined a spotlight on the powerhouse teams behind every driver, from engineers to strategists. The best part? Steph drew the perfect parallel to the defence industry, showing how the same diverse skill sets and teamwork that keep race cars on the track are just as vital when building ships. 🚢🏁

Finding thousands of Australians with the right skills to deliver the SSN AUKUS fleet is a clear priority for the Commonwealth, ASC and BAE Systems Australia. That’s why we joined Acting Prime Minister, the Hon Richard Marles MP and Minister for Skills and Training, the Hon Andrew Giles MP, to announce a Federal/State skills initiative that opens 300 skills positions in the shipbuilding industry under two streams – a 12-month traineeship with on-the-job training ending with a Cert III and a full apprenticeship program in fabrication, mechanical/electrical qualifications over 4 years. This is one of the many tangible outcomes taking shape under a mobilisation agreement, signed by the AUKUS partners this week, to enable the construction of the next generation nuclear powered submarine fleet in South Australia. Importantly, they complement a range of skills development activities BAE Systems has underway to strengthen the pipeline of talent from schools into the workplace. Our focus on Continuous Naval Shipbuilding at the Osborne Naval Shipyard is driving great opportunities for Australians to secure highly paid, long-term jobs in naval construction.
