As we gear up for the Summer ahead and peak Zooper Dooper season, we let 9News behind the scenes of one of Australia's most joyful product lines.   Our “Happiness Factory” at Smithfield produces an incredible 380 million Zooper Dooper tubes annually - that's enough to wrap around the earth 2.6 times, make it a third of the way to the moon, or fill over 10 Olympic-sized swimming pools! But what makes this site truly special is the people, who keep the magic alive.    This was a great opportunity to recognise the wonderful team at our Smithfield site, as well as highlight how Zooper Dooper continues to bring joy and fun to Aussies of all ages, especially since following its return to Australian ownership under Bega Group in 2021. #BegaGroup

Yesterday we celebrated International Day of People with Disability across the Bega Group. It was wonderful to have Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM as our guest speaker to share his lived experience with us. Dinesh was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland and the second person to graduate medical school with quadriplegia in Australia. Dinesh is a doctor, lawyer, disability advocate, and researcher. Halfway through medical school, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident that caused a cervical spinal cord injury. As a result of his injury and experiences, Dinesh has been an advocate for inclusion. Thank you, Dinesh. You are a wonderful storyteller, and we share your sentiment that we are working towards a world where we don’t need this day anymore. Over 200 riders and walkers braved the 35-degree heat and participated in the Annual Tatura 200 Charity Bike Ride & Walk on Saturday, 16 November. Championed by Tatura Milk Industries, the Tatura 200 has raised over $1.1 million since its inception, supporting numerous local charities and organisations in the Goulburn Valley. This year the event raised over $85,000, with a large portion of this funding supporting Marian Community, a 24/7 specialist family violence service that supports victim-survivors with immediate intervention. Other deserving groups to receive funding from this event include GV Pregnancy and Family Services (Caroline Chisholm Society), Tatura CFA, Kiwanis Shepparton Sunrisers, Ulysses Club, and the Tatura Rotary Club.
