🌟 Celebrating a Year of Achievements! 🌟 Today, we celebrated the achievements of the Bric Team over the past twelve months at our Annual General Meeting. Bric Chair, Julie Saunders, reflected on the bold vision set out at the previous AGM to foster growth and partnerships. Much has already been achieved to not only deliver new housing but also great services. CEO Jane West highlighted our enduring and new partnerships with our community partners, and how we’ve reorganised to provide better services to tenants during this period of growth. She also highlighted our focus on amplifying the tenant voice within Bric. Ellen Maddick shared insights into our community engagement initiatives, including several garden projects with extensive tenant consultation and involvement. A huge thank you to all of our partners, supporters and staff who attended the meeting and to everyone who has contributed to a successful year. The meeting also marked the official launch of the Bric Annual Review which can be downloaded here: https://lnkd.in/gwn-_TtU This looks back on our activities in more detail and recognises our many partners that help us succeed. Here’s to another year of progress and community impact! 🚀

Yesterday Nigel & I made it out to visit the Cert 1 in Construction students who Aussie Painters Network, in partnership with MEGT (Australia) Ltd, is delivering a project for with Bric Housing, under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program. This project is providing quality training opportunities for some excellent First Nations candidates, while they spruce up some local units that form part of Bric Housing's 200 properties, made available to those in greatest need. The girls are leading the way on this site, with their commitment and attitude! Discussing future plans with them, it was easy to see how keen they are. Stacey, Billie, Kristen and Bailey, it was fantastic to meet you all. We will see you again soon to celebrate your completion and begin the search for the employers who will be bloody lucky to have you! Bric Housing is the fifth largest Community Housing Provider in Queensland providing homes for over 900 tenants. I’m so proud to be helping to support such important work, both in creating career pathways into construction, as well as helping to maintain these properties with Bric. Housing is under such enormous pressure and its our most vulnerable who are put at greatest risk. Creating safe homes and promising futures is a win for everyone. Great job in training, Steve Austin. A year on from our 15th anniversary, Bric Housing has been confirmed as a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider in Queensland. We are proud to continue our growth journey - providing much needed social and affordable homes in South East Queensland when there’s never been a greater need. Our future builds on our history rooted in the communities we serve, but we are also embracing new strategic partnerships to increase our impact – both within the CHP sector, and also with private developers and financing/investment partners. We look forward to playing our part in an ever strengthening Queensland community housing sector, to work with all levels of government to provide good quality affordable and social homes to every Queenslander in housing need. #housing #homelessness #queensland

We celebrated new homes, and new friends and neighbours, at our Portwood St Redcliffe development this week. A morning tea for our residents, with Bric staff and Board members, was a wonderful opportunity to mark six months since tenants moved in. There was a full turnout on the day, and no introductions needed, because there’s already such a thriving community - which we are so proud to support! #communityhousing #departmentofhousing #cityofmoretonbay

It was great to be part of the annual Reconnect event at the Redcliffe Hockey Fields last Thursday. Bric’s stall was busy all day - connecting with members of the community and other services. A big shout out to the Moreton Bay Housing and Homelessness Network for organising, and to Moreton Bay Council for their support. The Reconnect event raises awareness of homelessness in the region, and connects people experiencing homelessness with support services. #Encircle #MoretonBayCouncil #homelessness #departmentofhousing
