We have conducted 955 electrical inspections since January 2024, uncovering a 22% rate of non-compliant work. This resulted in 12 penalty notices for unlicensed work, non-compliant installations, and contracting without a licence. The electricians responsible were directed to rectify their work to meet required standards. Under the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018, electrical installation work must comply with the AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and other prescribed standards. Non-compliance can lead to $1,000 fines per offence. Learn more about compliance and licensing obligations at: https://lnkd.in/gymkSm5B #BuildingCommissionNSW
