Earlier this year, Conscious Investment Management (CIM) proudly announced a new partnership with environmental not-for-profit, Greening Australia, to deliver biodiverse environmental planting projects across Australia. CIM's first investment alongside Greening Australia was financing the purchase of a 755-hectare property in Southern NSW, known as ‘Caddigat Road,’ with plans to plant approximately 140,000 native trees and shrubs on the property in 2025. In October, CIM invited investors to visit the Caddigat Road property and meet the Greening Australia team. The below video gives an overview of the project and shows some of the incredible property that will be restored under of the Greening Australia and CIM partnership. We are thrilled to launch our Innovate level Reconciliation Action Plan ("RAP") which has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, following the successful completion of our Reflect level RAP. In implementing our Reflect RAP, the CIM team had the opportunity to go on their own personal reconciliation journeys and learn more about some of the challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. During this time, we also made CIM's first investment which specifically targeted a First Nations impact theme. This investment involved funding a Traditional Owner group representing the Kullilli People of South West Queensland to acquire a culturally significant property on their native title lands to develop a carbon farming project. It was a privilege for the team to work on this investment and learn from Kullilli leaders, and we hope to strengthen this and similar partnerships in future. In implementing our Innovate RAP, we intend to use our learnings from our Reflect RAP to deliver on the commitments set out in our Innovate RAP and continue to take steps towards creating an Australia which understands and acknowledges its past, accepts the challenges of today, and moves forwards as a reconciled nation. We look forward with optimism and a firm commitment to our reconciliation process, continuing to embed reconciliation into our business and investments, so it becomes part of what we do every day. Thank you to Nukunu artist Amy Daniel for producing the cover at “Home to be Returning Home” which tells the story of First Nations peoples returning home to heal and care for their country. Last week, investors had the chance to visit Conscious Investment Management's latest carbon farming investment in southern New South Wales alongside Greening Australia. The two-day site visit involved a tour of Greening Australia's nursery in Canberra and a visit to Caddigat Road, CIM's recent biodiverse environmental plantings investment. We would like to thank investors who attended and Greening Australia for making the site visit a great success.

Conscious Investment Management has become a Signatory of the Operating Principles for Impact Management. The Impact Principles act as a global framework for investors to guide the design and implementation of their impact management systems, ensuring that impact considerations are integrated throughout the investment lifecycle. Signatories to the Impact Principles commit to publishing an annual Disclosure Statement that describes how their impact management systems and processes align with each of the nine principles. They are also required to provide regular independent verification of this alignment. We are excited to join and learn from this global community of asset owners and managers who have adopted the same standards for robust and transparent impact management. We are pleased to announce an extension of our partnership with Liverty Housing (formerly Summer Housing), with Conscious Investment Management's funds financing an additional 44 operational Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) dwellings. This transaction means that, in partnership with Liverty Housing, CIM has financed 116 SDA dwellings and 11 overnight support assistance dwellings. The new assets were financed by CIM’s dedicated SDA fund alongside a senior debt facility from the National Australia Bank (NAB). CIM financed assets are located across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia. Established five years ago to scale housing projects developed by the Summer Foundation, Liverty Housing has consistently pioneered new models of supported disability accommodation, ensuring that individuals with disability have access to specially designed homes that promote independence and enhance quality of life. This latest investment strengthens our longstanding partnership with Liverty, and positions them to continue to develop high quality and innovative models of SDA housing. This NAIDOC week, the Conscious Investment Management team are listening, learning, and participating in events to celebrate the culture, history, and achievements of First Nations peoples. We’re also reflecting on how privileged we were to play a role in supporting Kullilli Bulloo River Aboriginal Corporation (RNTBC)’s acquisition of Thargomindah Station in south-west Queensland. In this video by Climate Friendly, Kullilli’s Ronald Saltner describes how carbon farming will help heal the 47,000-hectare property and allow Kullilli people to finally go home after a century of dispossession. - Find a NAIDOC week event near you: https://lnkd.in/dexeVKVM - Learn more about the Kullilli carbon farming investment: https://lnkd.in/g2UitrVT
