One month on from the Parking Australia & Highways AU (National Roads and Traffic/EV Mobility Live) Conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, we are still buzzing from the event. We met so many people at the EasyPark ANZ stand, and enjoyed meaningful conversations and social catch ups. Our two international EasyPark Group colleagues Bernd Reul and David Moore both made significant contributions to the agenda and it was a chance for many of the EasyPark team to meet representatives from cities, councils and the parking industry. Not only was our Australian team out and about volunteering recently, so too were our Philippines colleagues. The team in Olongapo headed to the river in Barangay Banicain to collect rubbish and litter from the water’s edge and banks. In just a couple of hours, they had removed items such as plastic bags, glass and plastic bottles, containers and packets. As they worked, the team was also mindful of the area's wildlife and surroundings, ensuring that all collected waste was disposed of responsibly. Sweeping and cleaning as they went, they certainly left the area in a better condition than when the activity started. Their efforts not only helped preserve the beauty of the river but also inspired others in the community to take part in keeping their environment clean. It’s another good example of the ongoing EasyPark ANZ goal to volunteer and do more for the communities around where we live and work, and to do what we can, when we can. #easyparkanz #easyparkgroup #togethermakingcitiesmorelivable #cleanup

Plastic bottles, cans, paper and cigarette butts were among the items we picked up on our recent community activity. We collected litter and rubbish around East Melbourne for an hour or so after work as part of our goal to do more volunteering around where we live and work.  We were supporting Clean Up Australia Ltd which encourages individuals, community groups, businesses and schools to prevent rubbish entering our environment as well as remove what has already accumulated. More than 22 million Australians have participated in Clean Up Australia activities and events over the last three years. We were pleased to do our bit and it was also a chance to spend time with colleagues outside the office, get to know each other a bit better and create some shared experiences.
