We caught up with @Woodlands Primary School recently to understand how they use Elastik and, more importantly, the challenges they faced before introducing technology in the classroom. The landscape for the school is unique. As with any subject, finding the balance between appropriate technological implementation and teaching is not easy. A fantastic contribution from our very own Dahmen Higgs in the Learning Difficulties Australia (LDA) We all know by now that #edtech product functionality should be developed using evidence-based practices. They should be non-negotiables for all users. There is always new research, new evidence and new information emerging that can influence the way we teach, the way our students learn and the we (EdTech providers) adapt our solutions. In working with the LDA, we should all be reminded to hold #edtech accountable for optimising solutions to suit the needs of individual students, teachers and educators.
