We are proud to announce the successful completion of an extremely challenging live environment / brownfield extension project for our valued repeat client, Fife Capital. This project involved extensive demolition, refurbishment of an existing 1,000m² office, and service upgrades to an existing 10,000m² warehouse while in operation. We also constructed 12,500m2 of Warehouse space over 3 tenancies, including a 3,000m² temperature-controlled freezer, and 750m2 of new two-story offices. Working within a live environment and brownfield site presented numerous challenges, including shared access, extensive underpinning to the existing warehouse, in-ground contamination, ground remediation, strict tree protection and management requirements, and multiple authority approvals for design and delivery. We are particularly proud of successfully trialling a blended low embodied carbon concrete mix for the warehouse floor, achieving a 41% reduction from the GBCA reference case!
