Our Tip Top Townsville team was proud to welcome some amazing students and staff from NRL Cowboys House into our bakery for a behind-the-scenes tour. The students enjoyed seeing how our bread and crumpets are made and distributed across North Queensland, and learned about career opportunities. This great partnership with Cowboys House is one of many ways we bring to life our Tip Top purpose of Everyday Moments of Goodness. Great work Townsville team!

The Tip Top Foodservice team is delighted to announce the launch of our new Speedibake Vietnamese Rolls! These irresistibly crunchy and light rolls are now being sold through distributors and are already receiving great feedback from customers, including takeaway outlets and chicken shops. To celebrate the hard work and collaboration between our Tip Top Foodservice team and our dedicated bakery team at Ermington, we held a special Bánh Mì lunch event at our Ermington Bakery. Congratulations to the entire team!

For over 60 years, GWF has provided high quality bread and bakery products to New Zealanders, with products that are so loved they appear in almost every Kiwi household. We were delighted to have our story included in this year’s Shared Horizons TV series by the NZ Food and Grocery Council. For our GWF Baking NZ team, sustainability is a priority, with a focus on People, Planet and Products. Our story would not be complete without our longstanding community partnership with food relief organisation KidsCan Charitable Trust, which includes team volunteering and donations of 120,000 fresh loaves of bread every year. At Tip Top Bakeries, creating our delicious and nutritious breads and bakery products starts with high quality wheat and grains. That’s where our friends at Mauri come in! Members of our Tip Top Innovation, Operations and Food Quality teams were delighted to take a field trip to Wagga Wagga, where they experienced a day in the life of an Aussie wheat farmer. They learned about the environmental factors, rainfall, crop rotations, farming and logistics practices that go into procuring the highest quality wheat and ingredients for our Tip Top products. At GWF, we are proud to support Foodbank Australia and the incredible work they do in feeding Australian communities. The Foodbank Hunger Report 2024 was released this week detailing the latest statistics on hunger and food insecurity. In 2024, almost one third (32%) of Australian households experienced moderate to severe food insecurity, which can mean skipping meals or going days without food. It's a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by many in Australia. Through our Tip Top Bakeries team, we provide consistent, weekly bread donations to Foodbank, amounting to over 2 million fresh bakery products donated every year. Across GWF, our team members regularly get involved in volunteering at Foodbank warehouses across the country.
