We are extremely grateful to one of our Organisational Members, NGIS, for inviting us to their offices in Perth this morning for a discussion with the Hon Stephen Dawson MLC. The discussion aimed at highlighting the significant contributions of NGIS, and the geospatial industry, to Western Australian (WA), and Australia as a whole. In our recent report on the 'Economic Impact of Geospatial Services in Australia,' we highlighted that geospatial technology is projected to contribute $689 billion to Australia’s economy by 2034, with WA leading the way. WA is set to see the highest economic impact nationally, with a projected contribution of $190 billion to Gross State Product. Local companies like NGIS, are at the forefront of leveraging these tools to drive innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. Thank you to our WA Chair, Laren Collen, for being there today on behalf of GCA; as well as to Paul Farrell, CEO of NGIS, for organising the discussion. For further insights, you can access the report through the following link: https://lnkd.in/gA5RZDB2 #geospatial #economicimpact #sustainability #innovation
