It was a pleasure to attend the official opening of the FS Gardside Park project this week. It’s been a big journey over the last two years as we partnered with the City of Parramatta to deliver this amazing project for the local community. The park now boasts a BMX pump track, multi-use sports court, flying fox, new playground including nature play, climbing structures, swings and play tower, picnic and barbecue facilities, sports facilities and a grandstand. A big shout out to the GWL team, and the suppliers and subcontractors that partnered with us to deliver this project. #gwl #gwlandscapes #landscaping #parks #garside #granville #parramatta #scoccer #nswpremierleague #westernsydney #landcapingthewest #granvilleragefc

Our Camdenville Park project for Inner West Council is coming out of the ground. 9,000m3 of bulk earthworks have been completed, concrete paths are going down, brick walls are going up and the park and pump track groundworks are progressing. A big shout out to the GWL team Dan, Tim Reg, George and their subcontractors #honorarycontracting #JMP_Excavations, who have been making the most of the dry weather and pushing hard to move the project forward. Keep up the great work!

Our Sydney Business Park maintenance team have been hard at work keeping the streets, open spaces and warehouses in top shape. Today the team were putting their energy and skills into the @asicsaustralia head office and factory outlet. We caught up with Kayla Marsh, one of the SBP team members, who last week got to share her experience as a woman in the landscape maintenance trade at the EmpowerHer Speed Networking event. At Greater West Landscapes we’re working hard to promote diversity and inclusion within our teams. We’re proud to say that 29% of our maintenance staff are Female, well above the maintenance industry average of 5%. Kayla said she loves working at GWL and see it as one big family that look out for and supports each other. Her favourite quote and her motivation to succeed within the landscape industry is “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough you will”. Winning together as one. Keep up the great work. #womeninconstruction #gwl #gwlandscapes #landscaping #landscapingthewest #landscapemaintenance #stihlaustralia

Here is a warm and toasty post to lift your spirits on a rainy day. Last week, the GWL Environmental team partnered with #stocklandwillowdale the Fire and Rescue NSW to conduct a controlled burn in Willowdale. Being a threatened species recovery site, we used fire to reduce extreme weed species and promote the germination of native plants. #gwl #gwlandscapes #landscapingthewest #landscaping #westernsydney #southwestsydney #environmental #nativeplants #revegatation

Night works are rare at GWL, but the team has done a great job putting in a new footpath along Parramatta Rd for our Garside Park project. As this project nears completion and finishing touches are added, we couldn't be prouder of the team working here. AAA Traffic Control Pty Ltd #concrete #gwl #gwlandscapes #westernsydney #parramatta

Our team in Western Sydney recently had the privilege to work with 11 First Nations women to explore the world of trades and many career pathways it has to offer in collaboration with team Real Futures Pty Ltd! The participants have had an intensive experience in empowering their confidence and capability on their career pathways whilst gaining valuable knowledge and experience along the way through workshops and immersive experiences. Dress for Success NSW & ACT provided an awesome confidence boost to our participants in how they present their best selves to world in a safe and nurturing environment with their fantastic team to support! The team at Productivity Bootcamp gave the participants a crash course in some practical elements across various trades & pathways. the team of superstars encouraged participants to get out of their comfort zone and try something with many for the first-time time ever getting on the tools! A number of employers engaged with our program to talk all things women in trades but also present opportunities to connect to. Thank you MobReady ,Greater West Landscapes, Richard Crookes Constructions. We look forward to continuing to support the participants on their journey to their goals in the coming weeks & months! Our clients are already achieving incredible results this year, and it's only February! Our NSW team recently wrapped up another successful Connecting Women to Trades program, specifically designed for 11 First Nation Women at the AMES Australia Site in Blacktown. Michelle Patterson, one of our dedicated Career Development Consultants in NSW, collaborated with Real Futures Pty Ltd and our First Nations Advisor, Bobbie Lyons, to deliver this impactful program. And guess what? One of the participants landed a job, even before the program ended. How awesome is that? It just goes to show their hard work and the valuable skills they gained during the program. But that's not all — several other participants have also applied for roles.
