Mercy Health Foundation invited the 2024 Scholarship recipients to a special presentation with friends, family and colleagues. This joyous event was on Tuesday 25 February at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne's CBD. A major donor has funded an innovative dementia care pilot program at Mercy Health Australia.  O'Brien's Pharmacy, led by Loan Ngo, has invested in an exciting trial that will combine technology and research to enable residents with dementia to live their best life.  Mercy Place Parkville will trial innovative tools to increase mental stimulation and reduce anxiety for those living with dementia, thanks to Loan’s support and generosity.  To find out more about the pilot program and to invest in healthier futures for older Australians, visit https://bit.ly/4hBrwzc  

On Friday, the Mums of Mercy and Mercy Health Foundation, proudly presented a cheque to Mercy Perinatal, representing the funds raised at the Silver Wattle Gala Ball. Professor Sue Walker and Professor Stephen Tong, from Mercy Perinatal, were thrilled to accept the generous contribution. Prof. Tong expressed his gratitude, saying, "This is an incredible outcome. We will ensure every dollar goes to support research that is focused on improving outcomes for mothers and their unborn babies." Special thanks to Alexandra Tighe and the mums - Allison, Aifric, Julie-Ann, Joanne and Renee.  

“It’s a privilege to be part of bringing a baby into the world,” says Amanda Mutasa, Lactation Consultant at Werribee Mercy Hospital.  Your donations have helped buy breastfeeding education tools to give more women confidence when breastfeeding.  Amanda and her small team struggle to provide enough resourced to women in the growing community of Wyndham. Melbourne-based artist and our friend, Thanh Lyons, is welcoming all Mercy Health Foundation supporters to The Other Art Fair where she will be showcasing her artwork. Thanh will be generously donating 5% of profits from the fair towards Mercy Health Foundation. We cannot thank Thanh enough for her continued support! Interested in attending?
