It was great to attend the latest Meshpoints Town Hall at Lawson Flats! It was a packed room full of WA’s innovation and entrepreneurship community, with a chance to meet and reconnect with many great people. Highlights included an inside look at Meshpoints’ key milestones for 2025—especially the upcoming Innovation Leaders Congress in July. It was great to hear from Charlie Gunningham in his new role as Head of Ecosystem Engagement, along with the introduction of the official Ecosystem Builders lineup. I went to the Women in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community of Interest meeting this week, and honestly, it was amazing to just be in a room full of women doing incredible things. I mostly just listened (classic youngest in the room moment), but seeing the passion and the push for real change was so inspiring. This community powered by Meshpoints is creating a space where women can connect, share experiences, and drive real impact in entrepreneurship and innovation. There were important conversations about representation, equitable funding, and how we can better support women navigating this space.

A busy week for our Program Director Jeroen van Dalen🦾 With just two weeks left until applications close for LaunchLAB AI’s first cohort, we’ve been hitting the ground running to engage with the community and spread the word. Last week, in collaboration with Perth Machine Learning Group, Jeroen cut through the noise on the hot topic of 'Overcoming Roadblocks in AI Product Development', and how to tackle real challenges in building AI solutions. The presentation was enhanced by the stunning view from Microsoft Perth's Office, thanks to the generosity of Jiaranai! A few days ago, he took the stage at Meshpoints Town Hall, delivering a short but impactful pitch in front of WA’s key innovation players, all buzzing with excitement for a big year ahead. Meshpoints, which is supported by Lotterywest and Spacecubed, has made LaunchLAB AI possible. The program is also backed from DDD Perth, Integral , CyberWest Hub, and WA Data Science Innovation Hub (WADSIH). And who better to lead the charge than Jeroen?
