We recognise that there is a significant variation in female participants across the NEX Building Group. Although women make up almost 50% of our workforce, they represent only 9% of construction employees and 29% hold leadership roles. This trend is also represented in the construction industry overall. These stats are exactly what has inspired us to take real action and develop our Women in Construction Leadership Program, designed to build the foundation for women to showcase their abilities and skills in non-traditional roles including construction, service and warranty and technical roles. We would like to encourage our connections to take a minute to listen to Carly, our Strategic Project Manager, share her experience about our first workshop. Together we aim to build a better future for the women at our business.
