🌿✈️ South Australia could become home to a new low-carbon aviation fuel production facility! Whyalla is soaring to new heights in the global green transition with a bold new initiative to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Energy company Zero®, with support from the SA Government, is exploring the development of 'Plant Zero.SA', a facility capable of producing up to 10 million litres of synthetic aviation fuel, gasoline, and diesel annually. This is part of a feasibility study involving key partners such as Qantas and Adelaide Airport Limited, positioning Whyalla as a global leader in the transition to sustainable fuels. By combining renewable hydrogen with carbon dioxide, #ZeroPetroleum’s synthetic fuel technology provides a low-carbon alternative compatible with existing aircraft, vehicles, and maritime applications. This project will not only drive emissions reduction in aviation—a critical sector in the global fight against climate change—but also create significant economic benefits for #SouthAustralia. 🔗 Read the media release here > https://lnkd.in/gjh43JPc City of Whyalla Office of Hydrogen Power South Australia Department for Energy and Mining, South Australia Department of State Development Paddy Lowe Brenton Cox Vanessa Hudson Sam Crafter PSM #SustainableFuture #GreenEnergy #Whyalla #HydrogenEconomy #SyntheticFuels #AviationInnovation #sustainableaviationfuel #hyrogensouthaustralia #hydrogenjobsplan
