We continue to build our (underground) castle at Sand King. It is fantastic to see our contracting partner Webdrill mobilise to site to commence grade control drilling to help us bring home the ounces. #ore-some rocks #awesomepeople

Welcoming the nextGen! We held a Welcome Day to the new Graduates and Vacation Students at our Subiaco office (with a number joining in via Teams). We can’t wait for the new generation of grads and vac students to experience the opportunity of joining the mining industry and OBM. The team were able to meet with Luke Creagh, MD, along with other senior leaders and experienced professionals to hear first hand about what is like working at OBM and their own career experiences. #oresomerocks #awesomepeople #orabandamining

Since the closure of the Missouri open pit in April this year, OBM has been focused on rehabilitation of the Missouri waste rock landform. Parts of this landform date from mining in the mid 1980’s and with the recent mining efforts OBM have successfully reshaped this landform into the surrounding environment. Phase 1 has been completed, which included contour ripping with the utilisation of seed-rich topsoil and recent tree trash habitat materials. This will form the stable base for phase 2, which will be to conduct drone seeding with local native plant seeds. At OBM we are committed to progressive rehabilitation and look forward to watching the plants grow and native fauna return to the site!

Meet Riccardo, our Cadet Mine Surveyor at Riverina who joined us a year ago! "As a Cadet Underground Mine Surveyor, my primary responsibility is to support mine surveyors/senior mine surveyors in conducting surveys and gathering data in underground mining operations. Within my role, I work closely with mine engineers, geologists, and underground crew members to ensure that survey data supports mining activities. I also assist with the survey set outs for drill and blast rings, mine heading development, exploration drilling and raise bore drilling. Working at Riverina means going underground to take precise measurements of underground tunnels, and stopes using a total station and/or laser scanner. I was interested in working in Ora Banda Mining as I was working in another industry for a number of years and was looking to get into mining. It seemed like a great opportunity to get the relevant experience, combined with my current studies in surveying to provide a solid foundation for my transition into the mining sector. I enjoy working at Ora Banda Mining as I have supportive seniors and a there’s a strong sense of camaraderie among colleagues, which makes for a positive and collaborative work environment. The OBM value that resonates most with me is to 'Accept the challenge to create value'. This is a new industry for me and this role allows me to further develop my skillset and be the best version of myself."

Exciting things happen when you get a boardroom of geos and engineers for 2-days talking over the exploration potential of our ground. We had representatives from site, exploration, resource development, underground geology, business development, group engineers and of course, Luke our MD was in the thick of it. Much coffee was consumed, many ideas shared, and a better appreciation of our tenement holding prospectivity was gained. Our GEOBM25 was a great success!
