Updates

  • When times get tough, the bond between a pet and their human can be more important than ever.    That’s why last week we teamed up with Addi Road Community Organisation to bring some holiday joy to vulnerable pet owners and their furry friends. From 600 goodie bags filled with pet essentials, to vet advice and pup cup feeds, the day was all about spreading hope and love. Because people facing financial hardship shouldn’t be made to feel like second class citizens, and neither should their pets 💛   Special thanks to these generous suppliers who helped fill the goodie bags with donations - Hill's Pet Nutrition, EzyDog, Mars Petcare, Royal Canin, Masterpet Corporation, KONG Company, Zoetis, SavourLife, Bell & Bone, Mimi and Munch Australia, Elanco Australia, CopRice, Heinrich Westenraad & Wellness Pet Company

  • What a privilege to be surrounded by so many incredible people at the Greencross Pet Wellness Company Clinical Symposium and Leadership Conference who are deeply passionate about animal welfare and the overwhelmingly positive support we received about the Petbarn Foundation. From the dedicated Petbarn teams, Greencross Vets, generous suppliers and charity partners, your commitment to making the world a better place has been nothing short of inspirational. It’s been such a pleasure to be part of this conference and witness firsthand the impact we are creating together 💛

  • 💛THANKS A MILLION💛   We are thrilled to announce that we have exceeded our $1 million fundraising target and raised a record-breaking total of $1,359,755 for Vision Australia to fund 27 Seeing Eye Dogs for Australians who are blind or have low vision. Since 2014, the Petbarn Foundation partnership with Vision Australia’s Seeing Eye Dogs has funded the training of 179 Seeing Eye Dog pups, changing the lives of 179 Australians in building confidence, safety, independence and improving quality of life.   A BIG thank you to everyone who donated to this year's Petbarn Foundation Seeing Eye Appeal, this would not be possible without you! Special thanks to Royal Canin, Zoetis, and our dedicated Petbarn store teams, your support means the world to us. [Video description: The video starts with a still frame of a yellow background with a love heart cut out revealing a photo of a lady cuddling and kissing a Seeing Eye Dogs pup on the head. Above the love heart cut out, there is the Petbarn Foundation and Seeing Eye Dogs logos with a graphic of Petbarn's character, a puppy wearing a cape and a Seeing Eye Dog vest with text that reads "150+ pups trained & counting…". Text on screen reads "Petbarn Foundation Seeing Eye Dogs Appeal THANK YOU". We then see various footage of Petbarn, Vision Australia and Jetstar staff members speaking to camera holding, playing and interacting with Seeing Eye Dogs puppies. Footage also shows four Seeing Eye Dogs puppies playing with toys, navigating an obstacle course and napping together. The video ends with a yellow background and the Petbarn Foundation and Vision Australia logos. Below the logos there is text that reads "Thank you for supporting the Petbarn Foundation Seeing Eye Dogs Appeal". Below the text the Petbarn puppy character sits wagging his tail.]

  • Did you know Garfield was adopted? It’s true! 🐱   In celebration of The Garfield Movie, the Petbarn Foundation is teaming up with the world's most iconic cat on a mission to lower euthanasia rates and pair every cat and kitten with their forever family.    To date, Petbarn in-store adoptions have saved more than 70,000 animals, and this month, we're hoping to clear the shelters and find loving homes for hundreds more with ‘The Garfield Effect’.

  • This May is Domestic Violence Awareness Month The Petbarn Foundation has committed over $800,000 to support individuals facing domestic violence. This funding has been instrumental in facilitating numerous programs and partnerships, including our ongoing work with Pet Medical Crisis, to assist pet owners in crisis situations.   Our contributions aim to ensure that no one has to face the heart-wrenching decision between their safety and the wellbeing of their beloved pets. Through these donations, we’ve supported:  - Emergency housing for pets to keep them safe while their owners secure their own safety and stability. - Veterinary care and support services to ensure pets are healthy and well during times of upheaval. - Advocacy and awareness initiatives to highlight the crucial role pets play in the lives of domestic violence survivors.   Each dollar donated helps strengthen the bond between survivors and their pets, providing both with a chance at a safer, happier future. We’re committed to continuing our support and expanding our efforts to keep survivors of domestic violence and their pets together during times of crisis.   #PetbarnFoundation #DomesticViolenceAwareness #SupportSurvivors #AnimalWelfare #CommunitySupport
