Today is Road Worker Day of Remembrance and, this morning, Platinum Civil Construction Group paused to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives or suffered serious injury whilst working on our roads. These are the unsung heroes who play a pivotal role in the development of our infrastructure that communities rely on daily. Please also pause for a moment and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice or have been injured in the line of duty. There is no one that someone might miss, and everyone has the right to get home safe. #RWDOR24 #RWDOR Kiara Johnson Tim Freer Mikael Strain Kate Molloy Shorup Sharma Akash Kandel Nabeel Mohammed Barry Nisbet Connor Galpin Ben Metcalf Kathleen Vette Karoline Brown Dr. Nkosinathi Sithole Anita Koch

Congratulations, SA Water!
Our KSJ Consulting team were pleased to join SA Water in celebrating as they forge their path towards Reconciliation by launching their new Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) this afternoon, Thursday 30th October. We were provided with a Welcome To Country Ceremony by Robert Taylor Cultural services, including a cleansing smoking ceremony and call for connection to all of our ancestors. We all experienced the talent of the dancers from Of Desert and Sea (ODAS), as well as other gifted performers. Ngaityalya, thank you, to all! Speakers from SA Water team members and Board Chair of Directors reflected on their many accomplishments and highlights, as well as what Reconciliation means to them. We also heard more on the areas which will receive a larger focus when taking their next steps within their journey. One area being their Retention of First Nations employees. SA Water has already initiated this focus by employing Deb P. as their Aboriginal Employment and Retention Adviser earlier this year. Deb has now supported the development of the new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment and Retention Plan that aligns with Kauwi Miyurna (SA Water’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander network group.) Our respect to Nellie Hirschhausen, Aboriginal Engagement Lead, for all outcomes you have helped achieved also. Congratulations to SA Water, the RAP Working Group members, the Kauwi Miyurna network, the Board, and to all SA Water employees & major stakeholders which have helped make this happen. KSJ Consulting have been proud business partners and community allies with SA Water for five years, successfully completing various projects together across the state and supporting their journey. We are truly grateful for these opportunities and our shared successes. We look forward to our upcoming projects together. Congratulations again to all of SA Water for implementing their third Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, it’s fifth RAP overall. Home to more than two-thirds of Australia's copper resources, a wild storm recently left South Australia’s Copper Province without power, seeing BHP's Olympic Dam mine site temporarily halting operations. The outage saw numerous facilities and amenities across the site’s community impacted and backup generators were employed. The wider Roxby Downs township, where many workers live, was also affected. Upon receiving our client, Enerven's call, our Platinum team travelled straight up to site to get to work, helping to successfully restore power to site. This is just one example of Platinum being a trusted resource for our Mining, Construction, and Electrical clients across South Australia. We endeavour to deliver safe and efficient Platinum-grade outcomes on every project and to every client. I guess that’s why our team are growing!
