Inspired by her words, our supplier Sandoz Australia & New Zealand challenged us to complete 1,000 acts of kindness within a year. Ramsay Pharmacy is proud to announce a partnership with Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) to launch Australia's first Community Pharmacist Resident Training Program. This initiative expands upon our existing AdPha-accredited Hospital Resident Training program, now offering early career community pharmacists the support and career progression needed as they adapt to an expanding scope of practice. The program was officially launched on World Pharmacist’s Day at Ramsay Pharmacy Mt Pleasant in Mackay, joined by Michelle Lynch & Lauren Curley from Ramsay Pharmacy, Kristin Michaels from AdPHa and Tyron Hochmuth as the first pharmacist enrolled in the community pharmacy resident program. Tyron is also enrolled in the Queensland University of Technology’s Safe Prescribing and Quality Use of Medicines course, preparing for a future that embraces the new responsibilities and opportunities available to pharmacists in Australia. This collaboration is a testament to both Ramsay Pharmacy and AdPha’s commitment to fostering professional growth in the pharmacy sector, ensuring community pharmacists are equipped for the evolving demands of their roles. #ramsaypharmacy #bettercare #pharmacy

What a night! Our 2024 Conference Gala Dinner at Rydges South Bank took us back to the roaring 1920s. Today we wrapped up our 2024 Ramsay Pharmacy Conference after three days of fantastic celebrations, collaborations, and supplier showcases. Some of today’s key highlights included: - A team walk for our early risers who wanted to enjoy the Brisbane sights and sunshine - A Shark Tank style presentation where three of our team leaders took the stage to pitch their ideas — congratulations to Ben Robinson for taking home the win! - Speed dating sessions covering everything from empowering pharmacy technicians and providing effective feedback, to innovations in pharmacy automation and more - Financial Masterclasses that equipped our team with deeper insights into leading with confidence through financial understanding - A session on Digital Enablement in pharmacy led by Alicia Simpson, where we explored where the Australian network stands and the future of digital advancements in pharmacy - Ramsay Pharmacy CEO Michelle Lynch closed the event, reiterating the powerful message of leading with heart and building sustainable futures through kind leadership A big thank you to our incredible teams, suppliers, senior leaders, and the conference crew who made this event a success. With the theme ‘Leading with Heart: Sustainable Futures through Kind Leadership,’ here are some key highlights: - Carmel Monaghan shared exciting updates from Ramsay Health Care Australia and we celebrated 60 years of Ramsay Health Care - We were inspired by keynote speaker Kath Koschel whose powerful story highlighted the importance of kindness in both our personal and professional lives - Michelle Lynch and Lauren Curley showed us how kindness plays a pivotal role in leadership as we celebrated this year's achievements - Alicia Simpson gave us a glimpse into the future of pharmacy, sharing how we can upskill our teams to prepare for the evolving industry - Our Ramsay Health Services team took part in a dynamic panel session, answering attendee questions and revealing exciting developments in the integration space - Trudy McKinlay and Joanna Dowling introduced a new merchandise initiative, set to elevate customer service in our community pharmacies and had some of our core retail suppliers host a ‘train the trainer’ mini session The day wrapped up with a fun team-building activity involving Lego, and we capped it off with a Lego donation to HeartKids, a charity supporting children with heart conditions Now, we’re looking forward to tonight’s 1920’s themed gala dinner and awards celebration! #ramsaypharmacy #leadingwithheart #pharmacyconference
