Earlier this week, RDA AHFKI Director Regional Development, Steve Shotton, attended an industry tour at Pages Flat showcasing an exciting new off-grid, fully automated cattle finishing facility. Designed with sustainability and animal welfare in mind, the facility, developed by Specialised Solutions, operates under a solar-powered canopy and demonstrates how advanced automation and scalable solutions can transform farming practices. The project’s success over the past year highlights its potential to benefit cattle producers in our region and beyond. It’s a promising step towards efficient, low-carbon farming solutions, and we’re eager to see how this technology evolves to support agriculture in the future L-R: Brad Ridley (Specialised Solutions), Steve Shotton (RDA AHFKI), Bronte Modra (Specialised Solutions)
