🚨 Did You Know? 📲 Using your phone while driving can sap up to 40% of your mental resources! That’s a staggering amount of focus lost, and it can put your safety - and the safety of others - at serious risk. At our RYDA workshop, we delve into this crucial topic, and it’s always rewarding to see students like Alishia from Ellesmere College NZ grasp the importance of putting their phones away while on the road. #SpeedAndStopping #RoadSafetyEducation #RoadSafety #Testimonial #DidYouKnow

In 2023, more than 1,200 lives were lost on Australian roads, and New Zealand saw 343 road fatalities. Today, we’re thinking of those affected by road traffic crashes - the lives lost, those in mourning, and the survivors. Let’s stand with the families and friends left behind and honour their memories by committing to safer roads. 💖 Remember. Support. Act #RoadSafetyEducation #WDoR2024 #ThinkingOfYou #RoadSafety

Thank you to Rotary and all the organisers for another very successful Bass Coast Cycle Challenge (BCCC). 🚴♀️ Over the past 10+ years, the BCCC has raised funds that have enabled over 3,500 secondary school students from the South Gippsland and Bass Coast areas to participate in the RYDA program. Today is Road Worker Day of Remembrance. Great message here from brave Leilani facing life without a dad because someone didn't heed the signs. Lets all work together to stop these tragedies from occurring. 💛
Leilani Rakei lost her daddy three years ago when a speeding and disqualified driver struck and killed him as he was working setting up road cones on a worksite. No child should lose a parent because they went out to work. Road Worker Day of Remembrance has been set up on Leilani's dad Timmy's anniversary. Tomorrow November 9th please remember the Road Workers who have lost their lives or suffered serious injuries while doing their jobs and slow down and observe speed restrictions at worksites. We all deserve to get home to our loved ones safely, every day, with no exceptions. A huge thanks to Leilani and her mum Tania for the beautiful tribute. #RWDOR #RWDOR24
