Six years at the SHIRE OF DUNDAS today as the PCBU, what a journey 😎.
Thanks to all our Elected Members, past and present, community members and my staff who supported this tough journey, from flooding, bushfires, and the commercialisation process to enable the Shire to do more for the community, including a public and commercial laundromat, purchase of the Local Post Office, and the IGA. We started a timber sawmill this financial year, and our operations now include a small FIFO Airstrip. We went from 34 staff to 27, and back up, we currently have 77 staff plus our consultants assisting we are covering an area just bigger than Portugal, sitting at just over 93,179 square kilometres, with Norseman and Eucla 720 kilometres apart with 677 people across the Shire, including the 480-kilometre coastline. We also went from a $4.5 million budget, growing yearly, to now at $15 million for 24/25 with no deficit in 2019/20/21/22/23/24. This also includes 5 successful Auditor General Reports.
