🎉 Excited to Welcome Joseph Azar as StoryTribe’s New CTO! 👨💻✨ After a few transformative months at StoryTribe, I’m thrilled to announce that Joe will be joining us as our new Chief Technology Officer. Joe comes with solid experience as a startup CTO, most recently at Forcite, a tech-driven company acquired by GoPro last year. His extensive background in system architecture and tech team leadership makes him an incredible fit for StoryTribe and our rapidly growing needs. Joe’s actually been helping me behind the scenes for the last couple of months, especially through our intense fundraising process. His support, both emotionally and in bridging the engineering gap, has been invaluable in restoring my confidence and energy as I engage with investors. 😢 Sad to Say Goodbye to David R Smith 🔥, My Co-Founder, But Excited for His New Chapter 👶✨ A few months ago, my former co-founder David made the difficult decision to step away from StoryTribe. With so much happening – I quit my full-time job to focus fully on StoryTribe, and also began an exhausting fundraising journey – we only get to announce this today. His decision comes as he takes on new, demanding family responsibilities and personal commitments, which mean he can no longer dedicate his time to our startup as he once did. David is an incredible engineer and entrepreneur, and I feel forever lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside him. He has brought such talent, creativity, and heart to StoryTribe, playing an essential role in getting us to where we are today. Just three weeks ago, David welcomed a beautiful new baby, Noah Edward, into the world. Although he's now deeply engaged in the important role of being a dad of three, he remains a strong supporter of StoryTribe. David will continue to be our advocate on social channels and will provide invaluable technical mentorship to our team as we continue to grow.
