  • 📄 When Sydney Anglican Property (SAP) came into being, most people probably didn’t even notice. After all, 1 January is a pretty sleepy day on the calendar! But while things may have kicked off with most people on the beach, it hasn’t taken long for the newly formed property arm of the Diocese to make a splash. The challenge for SAP from the outset of 2024 was to bring four separate property-related entities together in one organisation – a big enough task in itself. But as CEO Ross Jones points out, not only has the team made the transition feel seamless, they’ve delivered in ways he couldn’t have imagined after just 12 months. “The establishment of SAP was a generational shift in the way property is managed across the Diocese,” Mr Jones said. “But from the moment the team came together, the energy and shared passion for delivering gospel outcomes was really clear. “The results in just one year are testament to that shared passion, as we look to put property on mission right across the Diocese.” If you saw our 2024 infographic a week or two back, then here is the rest of the story, that is, our first year as SAP. Happy New Year everyone, and see you in 2025! https://lnkd.in/gjaDGx85

  • 🎄✨ Merry Christmas from Sydney Anglican Property! This season, we reflect on the incredible truth of John 1:9-10 📖 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the true light of the world, we remember the hope, peace, and joy that he brings. Though many did not recognise him, he came to shine his light into every corner of our lives. At Sydney Anglican Property, we count it a privilege to help shine the light of Jesus into local communities by putting property on mission in Sydney and the Illawarra.

  • Sydney Anglican Property is turning one! 🎉 And to celebrate we’ve been taking a look back over everything God has accomplished through our work so far. As you can see in this awesome infographic, it has been quite a journey - with plenty more in store in 2025. Thanks to all our supporters and project partners for helping to make our vision a reality. Let’s keep “putting property on mission”! And a big thank you to you - our LinkedIn followers! We’ve almost hit the 1,000 mark in just our first year, which we reckon is not too bad at all… Sustainable Development Group Ltd, Sydney Diocesan Services, Integricare, Faith Housing Australia, Christians in Property (Sydney), For Purpose Investment Partners, Traders In Purple, Reitsma Constructions Pty Ltd, Exploring Tree Early Learning

  • Great to get the whole SAP gang together at Ross Jones‘s place last Friday to celebrate what has been an amazing 12 months! From four separate entities to one co-ordinated, collaborative machine in just under a year. What a team 💪 Keep an eye out for our post later this week with a run down of all the 2024 SAP highlights! You’ll wanna frame it and send it straight to the pool room 😉 But wait till you see what we’ve got in store in 2025…!

  • Meet Jasmin Gollan! 👋 Jasmin is one of our two awesome Administrative Assistants Sydney Anglican Property! She attends St James Anglican Church, Croydon, where she serves on the music team. Jasmin first worked with Sydney Diocesan Services in the Office Services team and then eventually transitioned over to working with SAP (or ACGC at the time). “My professional background is actually in Fashion Design which I studied at university, before going on to work for five years as a detailer at a Bridal Couturier. I left that position in order to find a part time admin role that would allow me the space to also work towards starting my own fashion label. I then did a brief stint as a medical receptionist before eventually landing with SAP.” Jasmin’s role at SAP involves working alongside Erica (our other awesome Administrative Assistant!) across a broad range of administrative tasks including (but not limited to!) managing calendars, arranging meetings, coordinating logistics for events, facilitating payments, document management, etc. With Jasmin’s background in design she also helps us out with the graphic design needs we have to promote our SAP projects. When asked what she loves about working at SAP she said, “On the whole, I find the vision of SAP to be so encouraging, particularly in the way that our team is strategically and practically thinking about how to best facilitate the future of ministry and evangelism in our city. I love that my role involves so many different ways of assisting our team in working towards that Kingdom vision, of ultimately helping people come to meet and know Jesus.” Jasmin, thank you for using your unique skill set to bless the team at SAP. We love your work! 😁

MINISTER CONFIRMS: NEARLY ONE IN TEN PROJECTS FUNDED IN HAFF ROUND 1 LINKED TO FAITH-BASED ORGANISATIONS At this morning's dynamic gathering, Federal Minister for Housing and Homelessness, The Hon Clare O'Neil, engaged with Faith Housing Australia members, highlighting the crucial role of faith-based organisations in tackling the housing crisis. “I want to say thank you to those of you who are in this room because you are stepping up and you are doing something incredibly important by showing leadership and really pioneering this important movement. And I want to say to religious communities around the country, we want to work with you to be able to do more of this,” she said. Earlier, in a thought-provoking dialogue, Justice Kevin Bell and FHA Chair Rob Stokes discussed the importance of a human rights framework for housing. Justice Bell stated, "Housing is a bedrock right—without it, no other human rights can be realised." He called for a moral awakening, urging, "We have just let the system run along in its own market way. We now need to wake up and take moral responsibility for the way in which it operates." Rob Stokes echoed this sentiment, quoting ecologist Aldo Leopold: "We abuse land because we treat it as a commodity. Once we see it as a community to which we belong, we start treating it with love and respect." We'd love to hear your thoughts: If clean air and water are universally recognised as fundamental rights, why isn't housing afforded the same status? #housingisahumanright #socialhousing #affordablehousing

  • ⛪️ “Are we going to be able to find a church that we will be able to belong to, a church that we’ll be able to love, and be a part of, and also a place for our kids?” Well, Hope Anglican Leppington church member John has certainly been able to answer ‘yes’ to all these questions! 📹 Check out how thankful John is for his local church in Leppington

Box Hill in Sydney's northwest is ready for one of its most design-conscious projects to date with Killarney Ponds, the new apartment development by locals Kellarney Developments. Killarney Ponds, located just outside the emerging Box Hill Town Centre, has been designed to meet the needs of both families and working professionals seeking larger apartments and lifestyle-focused amenities, two points of difference when compared to other developments around the Box Hill area.
