Churchill Fellow Rod Hannifey is helping roads be safer by promoting guided rest stops for truck drivers. From the ABC: "Mr Hannifey said truck drivers from around the country had called him to say that his idea had saved their lives, which motivated him to continue lobbying." He's previously undertaken the NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust Churchill Fellowship to improve heavy vehicle road safety in Australia by researching best practice in other countries. After eight years of outstanding service, David Trebeck CF will step down as National Chair of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust on 31 January 2025.   The Trust is delighted to announce that Dr Richard Roylance CF will succeed him. Anne Gigney (TAS, 2023) set out on her Fellowship to investigate best-practice distilling training from around the world. Her mission was to bring these insights back to Australia, enhancing our distilling industry through in-house or other innovative training models.   Anne’s research focuses on identifying the most effective training methods and adapting them to suit the unique needs of Australian distillers.
