Omnigon is a leading distributor of high quality, innovative and customer aligned medical devices – ostomy, support garments, wound pouching products and transanal irrigation.

For 30 years Omnigon has been bringing the best of the world’s products to ANZ ostomates. We don’t think of ourselves as just a medical device distributor, but also, as a service partner and a solution provider.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant on a full-time basis to take on a broad range of responsibilities and gain exposure across various functions within the business.

 

Salary Range - $70,000-$80,000 + super


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing accurate financial statements and management reports
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit BAS, IAS & FBT returns
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Manage Accounts Receivable including following up overdue amounts
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare weekly payment files
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance and improve efficiency
  • Take ownership of our expense management platform, ExpensePoint
  • Assist with stock management
  • Other tasks including ad-hoc analysis and project work as required including use of our BI Tool Phocas

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in an accounting role (preferred)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, nested formulas)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with both team members and stakeholders
  • Full Australian residency
