Financial Accountant

scouted. has partnered with one of Melbourne's leading private developers in the land and residential space who is seeking a Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to the CFO, this new addition to the team will have a diligent and 'can-do' approach. This role has room to grow and learn from industry experts who will mentor you and elevate your career to the next level.

Your responsibilities:

• BAS and PAYG processes including reconciliation, lodgement, and payments.
• Assisting with arrangements for credit products including loans, bank guarantees, etc.
• Month-end and EOFY processes including journals, and reconciliations.
• Preparation of the annual statutory accounts in collaboration with external Accountants including supporting working papers.
• Fixed Asset register and Depreciation Schedules maintained.

About You:

• Initiative-taking mindset, a want to grow and develop
• Accounting or Finance Bachelor's Degree
• Successful candidate must have CPA or CA qualification
• Experience working within the property industry is not essential but desirable
• 3+ years of experience in an Accounting Firm or equivalent business.
