Your Position

Located in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work on one of Vanderlande's largest and most innovative automated warehousing solutions ever built.

The site is fully automated from start to finish, featuring cutting-edge equipment such as storage and retrieval cranes, conveyor belts, robotic arms for pallet-building, and AGV forklifts that seamlessly transport pallets around the facility.

You’ll be working on a rotating 4 on / 4 off schedule, which includes two 12-hour day shifts, followed by two 12-hour night shifts, and then you get to enjoy four consecutive days off.

Your Responsibilities

• Your role will involve responding to any operational issues, error notifications, blockages, alarms, and warnings. You’ll also be responsible for exchanging and refilling consumables like foil, labels, and cartons.
• You’ll communicate effectively with relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions for our customers.
• Additionally, you'll monitor Vanderlande equipment and guide client staff on proper machine processes and operations.
• Your tasks will also include clearing system issues or blockages, performing low-risk repairs like fixing pneumatic leaks, replacing filters, and aligning or replacing sensors.
• You’ll be following instructions, working independently or collaborating as part of a team to get the job done.

We're looking for a highly motivated individual who’s eager to learn quickly.

• If you have a mechanical or electrical knack and basic problem-solving skills, that's a great plus!
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are important.
• While warehouse experience and a current forklift license are beneficial, they’re not essential
• You’ll need to be physically fit
• either an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have Australian Permanent Residency with unrestricted work rights
