AEIP - European Association of Paritarian Institutions
Non-profit Organizations
Representing European occupational social protection funds in Brussels since 1996
About us
AEIP, the European Association of Paritarian Institutions, represents the social protection institutions jointly managed by social partners (paritarian institutions) and aims to promote the paritarian management of social protection at the EU-level. This has been its key objective since its founding in 1996. The values supported by AEIP are based on a balanced representation of employers and employees which is a typical feature of joint management (as well as social policy emanating from collective bargaining), solidarity and transparency; this approach is complementary to that applied within the social economy. Ultimately, its aim is the recognition of the status of the European Paritarian Institution of Social Protection as a structure enabling joint negotiations and joint management of cross-border collective agreements on pensions, health and providence schemesday schemes. The final goal of AEIP is to achieve pan-European paritarian schemes of social protection. AEIP also promotes studies and dissemination of paritarism in the field of social protection through conferences, seminars and publications and representation at EU-level through close contacts and cooperation with the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Economic and Social Committee.

📢 New Report Published: We are proud to share the Mapping Report of Social ID Cards in the Construction Sector, developed as part of the SIDE-CIC project, co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) and FIEC EU . This study, led by AEIP with support from CNCE - Commissione Nazionale Paritetica per le Casse Edili, explores the implementation of 18 social ID card schemes across 16 countries. Social ID cards play a key role in enforcing labour, social security, and tax legislation, while enhancing transparency and addressing key challenges such as undeclared work, complex subcontracting chains, and occupational safety. Key Takeaways: ✅ Combating #Undeclared Work: Social ID cards ensure proper worker registration, representing a barrier to illegal employment practices. ✅ Improving Health and Safety: Many schemes verify workers’ qualifications, ensuring compliance with #OSH regulations and reducing workplace risks. ✅ Transparency & Compliance: These schemes enhance clarity in labour relations and #subcontracting, supported by strong enforcement measures in several countries. ✅Strengthening Skills Development: Social ID cards often certify workers' #skills and #training, promoting a better-skilled workforce and aligning #qualifications with industry demands. ✅ Role of Social Partners: Social partners are deeply involved in the development of social ID card schemes, with in some cases paritarian institutions mandated by them to manage these schemes. 🔗 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dXhEpiej

📢 Last week, together with PensionsEurope we submitted a joint letter to the European Supervisory Authorities calling the ESAs to issue a no-action letter to national competent authorities ahead of the #DORA application date on 17 January 2025. 👇 To read the letter and for more information please see below.
📢 #Publication | Joint Letter to ESAs on DORA Enforcement On 27 November 2024, PensionsEurope, in collaboration with AEIP - European Association of Paritarian Institutions, submitted a joint letter to the European Supervisory Authorities. The letter calls on the ESAs to issue a no-action letter to national competent authorities ahead of the #Digital #Operational #Resilience #Act application date on 17 January 2025. 🔍 Why is this important? The absence of finalised Level 2 texts, such as: 🔵The ITS on the register of information, 🔵The RTS on subcontracting, are posing significant challenges for compliance and creating legal uncertainty for financial entities. ⚖️ Providing legal clarity is also in line with key EU priorities, such as #reducing #administrative #burdens for regulated entities.
