👉 Belgian Cyber Command attaches great importance to the integration of its new members. 🚀 Learning basic cyber techniques and intelligence processes, as well as developing their own analytical skills in a specific environment, are all part of the programme for future analysts. This year, to prepare them for their future roles, the new analysts took part in team in a War Game, a game that replicates the battles of the Second World War. "More than just a simulation, it's a tool for developing the operational mindset and flexibility needed to succeed in the dynamic and demanding world of intelligence." 💡 Learn more about their experience on https://lnkd.in/e8P-4PWg

💡 This week, the National Crisis Centre (NCCN) unveiled its new Belgian National Risk Assessment (BNRA) outlining potential threat for our country in the coming years. Experts from 140 organisations contributed to the analysis, including ADIV-SGRS and the Belgian Cyber Command. 🔎 In the current context, cyber-attacks, disinformation, interference and other actions caused by malicious actors are among the most likely risks that could have an impact on Belgium. Emerging technologies are also constantly posing new challenges. 👉 This underlines, among other things, the importance of strengthening the intelligence and security capabilities of the ADIV-SGRS in cyberspace, as well as developing cyber defence, electronic warfare and information warfare capabilities in support of Defence and society as a whole. Together with our national and international partners, we are contributing to maintain security but also to ‘anticipate in order to manage better’ as this report emphasises. 🔗 To read the BNRA https://lnkd.in/euVScHx5

🎯 Mission accomplished For the third time since 2022, Belgian Cyber Command's experts contributed to the deployment of the EU's Cyber Rapid Response Team (CRRT) recently deployed in Moldova to support their cyber security during the first round of presidential election and the referendum on anchoring EU accession in the constitution. 💡 What’s the CRRT? The project CRRT is part of the EU Permanent Structured Cooperation in Defence (PESCO) initiative launched in 2017. It is based on the sharing of strengths from several European countries (including Belgium) and aims to strengthen cooperation in cyber defence. The main mission of the CRRT is to assist countries that request it in the event of major cyber-attacks 📌 by providing expertise and technical resources to respond quickly and effectively to such incidents, 📌 by preventing cyber-attacks through audits and surveillance. 🛡 Concretly CRRT can be deployed in Member States and non-Member States to respond to a variety of cyber threats, including attacks on critical infrastructure, government computer networks and other vulnerable sectors. This reflects our commitment and our collective effort to build a safer and more resilient Europe. 🔗 More about the CRRT and this deployment : https://lnkd.in/dwVaQ7Gq
